Chevrolet aims to undercut Tesla&#8217;s dominance in the US EV market with new pure-electric vehicles. The cheapest one in the range is called Equinox EV, named after a well-established ICE crossover in the market. The starting price of the all-electric Equinox is $30,000. With this price tag, Chevrolet positions Equinox EV in a car segment that no other competitor ever set a foot before. 
Equinox EV offered in five variants: entry-level 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and sports trims 2RS, 3RS. The Equinox EV 2RS can be ordered with both FWD and eAWD drivetrains. The high-end version Equinox EV 3LT and 3RS comes equipped with 17.7-inch huge infotainment display, 21-inch alloy wheels, and optional 19.2-kW Level 2 AC charging functionality. GM&#8217;s hands-free autonomous driving tech Super Cruise is also optional for all Equinox EV variants.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

Volvo announced plans to roll out an autonomous driving service called Ride Pilot to customers in California, United States. The autopilot feature will make its debut in a fully electric SUV which will replace the brand&#8217;s large SUV XC90. It is expected to go sale before the year ends.
