Toyota bZ3 is the result of a successful collaboration between Toyota and its Chinese partners, BYD and FAW. BYD provides its LFP battery cells called the &#8216;Blade Battery&#8217; and the electric drivetrain of the electric sedan. 
bZ3 is based on the modified version of Toyota&#8217;s modular vehicle architecture called e-TNGA, which is the same platform that the Japanese company used to build <a href="https://www.licarco.com/toyota-bz4x-awd">Toyota bZ4X</a>.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

The 2024 BYD Han Has Officially Been Released | Starting At $25,000

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

#Audi has introduced its first car developed on the all-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron.
The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

🟢Announcing that it will convert diesel mining trucks to electric in 2021 together with #ABB, #Hitachi shared that the first vehicle has been produced.
⛏️The giant truck started to be used in a copper-gold mine in Zambia. It climbs with an electrical connection that feeds the battery, similar to a trolleybus, while going to pick up load. When turning downhill while loaded, it recharges its battery thanks to regenerative braking.
🔋In this way, ABB and Hitachi completed the transformation with a smaller one instead of a megawatt-hour battery. They made this possible thanks to the regenerative braking ability of the huge electric motors seen in the prototype photo.
🔌Mining truck&#8217;s previously had a giant internal combustion engine with 16 cylinders and 2,534 horsepower. It will relatively reduce the impact of mining on the environment by ending diesel consumption and zeroing out emissions after the conversion to electric.

#Toyota has renewed the first electric sedan bZ3, developed together with Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD and its production partner FAW.
The 2024 Toyota bZ3 is offered for sale in China at the same price as the 2023 version (169,800 yuan = ~ $23,650). The vehicle comes with minor physical updates other than new interior trim colors, renewed door trim, and armrest designs.
The bZ3, whose old version was recalled due to two problems, one with the door lock mechanism and the other with the battery management system, promises to offer a smoother experience in the new model.

The electric sedan can cover 517 km on a single charge in standard range according to Chinese standards. It reaches 616 km in long range. It must be said that the long-range bZ3 is quite competitive with its price tag of $26,700.
Toyota has managed to sell more than 23,000 units of the bZ3. The company started producing the vehicle in March 2023. Corolla&#8217;s electric counterpart could be rolled out outside China this year as a joint Toyota-BYD project.

Electric Sedan 2024 Toyota bZ3 is on Sale!

Every day, new model vehicles are included in the electric automotive market, which is growing day by day. One of them is the 2nd vehicle of Toyota&#8217;s bZ series, which was officially introduced in the past days &#8211; bZ3. Developed for the Chinese market together with Chinese local electric vehicle manufacturers BYD and FAW, the bZ3 is seen as a competitor to Tesla Model 3.
This compact electric sedan can reach a range of 600 km on a single charge, thanks to the BYD Blade lithium-ion LFP battery using lithium iron phosphate and the powertrain developed using Toyota&#8217;s most advanced electrification technologies.
Many features have been redesigned for this vehicle. Battery structure, cooling, control, and security monitoring systems are just a few of them. For example, the Japanese automaker says it uses state-of-the-art electrification technology, with experts to prevent battery degradation, with its goal of providing 90 percent capacity even after ten years of use.

Like the bZ4X, the bZ3 has the hammerhead shark-like design format of the Toyota bZ series, but the sedan body style gives it much higher aerodynamic efficiency. Thanks to this and the use of air guides, air curtains, recessed door handles, aero-optimized wheels, and a shaped rear bumper to reduce air resistance, the Toyota bZ3 achieves a drag coefficient of 0.218.
The bZ3, which will be produced by FAW Toyota, is said to have a production and sales start before the end of this year and an estimated base price of around $28,000.
