There are four variants of the IONIQ 6; two rear-wheel-drive options with 53-kWh and 77.4-kWh battery packs. There will also be two all-wheel-drive models that can produce up to 325 horsepower. Rear-wheel-drive IONIQ 6 with the smaller battery will consume around 14 kWh every 62 miles (100 km) travelled.

None of these variants are eligible for the $7,500 tax credit. Because Hyundai imports all IONIQ 6 modells from its home country. Korean automaker has plans to build a new EV-dedicated factory in the United States, but it will take years for Hyundai EVs to earn eligibility for the <a href="https://www.licarco.com/news/which-electric-vehicles-are-eligible-for-tax-credit-in-us">IRA tax credit</a>.

2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 AWD

Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the Korean carmaker’s first ever fully dedicated battery electric car. It is built on a unique platform, e-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) developed by Hyundai and Kia together.
Compared to <a href="https://www.licarco.com/2021-tesla-model-3-performance/">Tesla Model 3</a> and <a href="https://www.licarco.com/polestar-2-long-range-dual-motor/">Polestar 2</a>, Ioniq 5 looks like a boxy hatchback, Hyundai calls it a crossover. Fastest Ioniq 5 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. It has a moveable center console on the inside, safety features like blindspot indicator, lane keeping, and remote parking capabilities.
<h2>Ioniq 5 Performance</h2>
Ioniq 5 has two battery pack options, Standard Range version offers 58 kWh capacity, whereas Long Range models will be equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery. Hyundai also offers two drivetrains for both of these battery options. RWD has a single electric motor and up to 217 horsepower. Those who wants to get more power will choose the AWD option for dual motors and up to 306 HP. It can tow a caravan up to 1,600 kilos of weight.
The stalk behind the steering wheel allows driver to easily change gear, put the vehicle on parking mode etc. Ioniq 5’s smooth driving experience will improve with very clever blindspot indicator feature. Whenever you put an indicator on, cameras from the each side of the vehicle will show you the blindspots, making Ioniq 5 much more safer to drive. There’s also a head-up display (HUD) that includes the vehicle’s speed, navigation etc.
<h2>Ioniq 5 Design and Features</h2>
In terms of appearance, Hyundai Ioniq 5 looks like a hatchback, but it’s actually a crossover, or an all-electric CUV. When Hyundai designed the new Ioniq 5, they took a lot of inspiration from the first vehicle they actually manufactured. It is the Hyundai Pony from the 1980s. It has got a very interest retro design, standing out from the crowd with its boxy shape. The headlights and taillights which use square shaped LEDs are also retro styled.
In profile, Ioniq 5 has an enormous wheelbase of over three meters, longer than a Range Rover Sport, which give this electric Hyundai plenty of space inside.
On the front of the vehicle, there is a little frunk, enough for a few grocery bags or a backpack, not even close to the capacity Teslas and <a href="https://www.licarco.com/ford-mustang-mach-e-gt/">Ford Mustang Mach-E</a> offer.
The interior of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 is as unique as its exterior design. Modular design allows Hyundai to equip its new vehicle with two 12 inch displays, one for the full-touch infotainment system, and the other acting as a digital gauge cluster. Thanks to its long wheelbase and flat floor, Ioniq 5’s center console can slide back almost 15 centimeters, creating a spacious car experience for the driver and passengers.
The Ioniq 5 got five USB ports, a 220V outlet for any tools and gadgets you want to power, a glove draw instead of a traditional glovebox, seats that can be almost fully recline, Bose sound system etc.
<h2>Ioniq 5 Range and Charging</h2>
Ioniq 5 has the fastest charging technology in its segment. There are two charging systems, 400 volt and 800 volt electrical arcitectures available for the Ioniq 5. With the highest setup, all-electric CUV can be charged with 350 kW DC plugs, from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 18 minutes.
There is also the V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature that turn Ioniq 5 into a power source for your electronic devices, and simple tools that can be powered via a simple outlet. It allows a charging speed up to 3.6 kW. It is even possible to charge another electric vehicle with Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. 🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

The 2024 BYD Han Has Officially Been Released | Starting At $25,000

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

MG4 EV is a beautifully designed hot-hatch built by Chinese automaker SAIC. The company has been teasing about another affordable European EV for a while. It made its first debut with a different name, Mulan, in China in June 2022. The western version&#8217;s unveiling followed soon after. According to MG UK&#8217;s official website, MG4 EV will have two trim levels and two different battery pack options; MG4 EV SE, MG4 EV SE Long Range, and MG4 EV Trophy.

The base model will cost £25,995 and offers up to 201 miles (351 km) of range with a 54-kWh battery. It has a single motor that can produce 170 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The long-range version of the MG4 EV SE with a 64-kWh battery pack can travel up to 452 kilometers when fully charged. The high-end model, called MG4 EV Trophy, offers more power at 204 HP, the same torque figure, and the same top speed of 160 km/h. 
All versions support 150 kW DC, and 7 kW AC charging speeds. MG claims that its newest EV can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 35 minutes. 10.25&#8243; infotainment display is standard on all three trim levels. MG4 EV does support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The high-end version will also feature wireless charging and 360-degrees parking camera system.
MG4 Electric has a bunch of ADAS features available for its drivers, such as active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, LKA (Lane Keep Assist), TJA (Traffic Jam Assist), Driver Attention Alert, etc. MG4 EV Trophy model will be equipped with much more advanced ADAS hardware, offering Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
MG4 EV deliveries will start in Q4 2022. The automaker will accept orders starting this September. European pricing will be officially announced in the coming weeks.

Tesla has begun rolling out the big holiday update which brings cool new features and some entertainment stuff. The update some fans referred to as &#8220;V11 UI update&#8221; is indeed named as &#8216;Software Version 11.0&#8217; by the automaker, according to <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://twitter.com/teslascope/status/1473151578555117572?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Teslascope</a>. There are some very interesting UI changes and new games in this OTA update waiting for Tesla owners to dig into, one of which is the ability to watch TikTok videos from the touchscreen.
Texas-based EV maker previously made the Chinese version of the TikTok, called DouYin, available for Tesla owners in China. With the new update, other Tesla drivers can also access the popular social media app by simply taping the Theater icon from the bottom bar and selecting TikTok while their car is in park.

In the new user interface, Tesla drivers can customize the infotainment touchscreen of their car even more by dragging and dropping their favorite apps to any position along the bottom menu bar. The menu bar is also customizable, hold any icon and drag to reorder.
The main display of the car has been simplified to just focus on navigation, media, and the primary controls. Because of this simplification process, some controls are hidden further. For example, the vehicle icon at the bottom left of the screen is now housing the charging, windshield wipers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Sentry Mode settings. You don&#8217;t have to reach across your screen to find these controls, they can be accessed via the vehicle icon.
<h3>Automatic Blind Spot Camera</h3>
This update allows drivers to see a live camera feed of their blind spot whenever they activate the turn signal. It was not automated before. That was one of the most anticipated safety features by the Tesla community. To enable, go to Controls, then Autopilot, and tap the Automatic Blind Spot Camera.
<h3>You can now edit Waypoints</h3>
Last month, Tesla added a new feature to its in-car navigation system that allows drivers to add waypoints. The latest OTA also updated this feature to include waypoint reordering, adding multiple destinations to the route with updated arrival times, etc.
<h3>Dark Mode</h3>
Tesla owners can now manually turn on the Dark Mode. Just tap Controls &gt; Display &gt; Appearance and select the Dark. This feature turns most of the UI into dark colors.
