BYD Seal U is a rebadged version of the Chinese EV maker&#8217;s &#8216;<a href="https://www.licarco.com/2023-byd-song-plus-ev">Song Plus</a>&#8216; model. It&#8217;s defined as a D-segment sports utility vehicle with its 4,785 millimeters long body. There are two battery options available for purchase; standard range (420-km WLTP) with a 71.8-kWh LFP battery and long range (500-km WLTP) with a larger 87-kWh pack. XXXXX 
The Seal U is the sixth vehicle (first five vehicles are Tang, Han, Atto 3, Seal, and Dolphin) that BYD exports to European countries. Even though BYD describes Seal U as a D-SUV, it&#8217;s a direct rival to Volkswagen&#8217;s ID.4, Skoda&#8217;s Enyaq iV, Renault&#8217;s Megane E-Tech, and other electric C-segment SUVs. Seal U&#8217;s biggest advantage is the more capable infotainment system with 4G/5G connection, DiLink operating system, and third-pary app support. 
Chinese automaker will release more details regarding Seal U at IAA Mobility in September. Seal U deliveries will begin in Q4 2023.

Is The Cybertruck Canceled?

IM Motors, a direct competitor to Tesla, is a high-end electric vehicle brand founded in 2020 and unveiled its first vehicles in early 2021. Its name is an abbreviation of the &#8220;Intelligence in Motion&#8221;, which clearly indicated that IM Motors is a smart vehicle-focused automaker. 
A total of $1.4 billion (10 billion RMB) initial investment was made by IM Motors&#8217; shareholders as a founding capital. Chinese EV maker&#8217;s first vehicle concepts &#8216;AIRO&#8217; and LS7 are designed by English designer Thomas Heatherwick and showcased at Auto Shanghai in 2021. In 2022, IM Motors only sold around 5,000 EVs. <h2>Who Owns IM Motors?</h2>
IM Motors is a joint venture between Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, the automaker SAIC Motor, and a Shanghai-based industrial and technology park called Zhangjiang High-Tech. SAIC Motor owns the majority (54%) of this joint venture. Alibaba and Zhangjiang High-Tech hold an 18 percent stake each. IM Motors&#8217;s main purpose is to design and manufacture fully electric high-end vehicles. The brand&#8217;s first cars are being produced at SAIC Motor&#8217;s Lingang plant in Shanghai, China, where SAIC made a handful of investments in 2021 to manufacture all-electric models.

IM Motors LS7 launched in December 2022 and received very positive feedbacks from Chinese customers. It&#8217;s been one of the most popular electric SUVs since the beggining of 2023. LS7 is also one of the first EVs that its battery can be bought seperately and paid in installments. Thanks to this purchasing option, its starting price is as low as $33,750 (239,800 CNY).
IM Motors LS7 comes with 90/100 kWh battery pack and 340/578-HP powertrain variants. It offers a CLTC range of up to 660 kilometers. All-wheel-drive LS7 can travel up to 625 km.

IM Motors L7 is first launched in April 2022 with its sleek-design and optional 11-kW wireless charging capability. It&#8217;s almost 5,1 meters long, wheelbase stretches to 3,100 millimeters. With a 0.21 drag coefficient, IM L7 is one of the most aerodynamic vehicles in the world.
L7 comes in three variants: L7 Elite, L7 Snake Performance Lite, and L7 Snake Performance. The RWD L7 Elite offers up to 675 kilometers of range and 340-HP, whereas Snake Performance model can produce as high as a whopping 605-horsepower and 730 Nm of torque.
<h3>When Will IM Motors Coming to United States?</h3>
IM Motors is meant to be a global high-end EV brand. SAIC Motors and Alibaba have been planning to sell electric vehicles in both United States and Europe. Verkor will increase its activities with a huge investment of 2 billion euros.
French battery startup Verkor has managed to raise a significant investment of 2 billion euros for its first facility. The investment amount in question includes the state contribution of 650 million euros, as well as the contributions of private companies such as Macquarie Asset Management. This amount collected will be used mainly to build a factory in France&#8217;s northern port city of Dunkirk.
Company officials state that the presence of government support in the investment share helps attract investors from private companies. In addition to Macquarie Asset Management, the company&#8217;s investors include the famous car manufacturer Renault, with whom it has signed a supply agreement, platinum producer Sibanye-Stillwater, and infrastructure specialist Meridiam companies. <h2>Three Electric SUVs Incoming</h2>
After the electric Juke, the fully electric Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail will be launched in 2026 and 2027.  The CEO of Nissan Europe stated that the company took the first step toward electrification with e-Power. All three SUVs would be available to consumers with electric models in a few years.
Nissan Ariya, which left the X-Trail behind in European sales last year, can offer a range of about 500 kilometers with a 90 kWh battery. It is most likely that the electric Qashqai and others would have a longer range.

Electric Nissan Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail Officially Confirmed

Renault had already officially stated that the forthcoming generation Espace, which will be a hybrid SUV, will appear this spring. The forthcoming Espace will be built on the T&amp;T CMF-CD design, just like the majority of ICE-powered Renault Group vehicles in the C and D classes. Nissan demonstrated its fourth electric vehicle with a teaser video recently. It will be a successor to the iconic supermini Micra, targeting European customers. The electric hatch won&#8217;t probably be called Micra, though. It will take a new name that will show its new nature, which is purely electric.
Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi already spent €10 billion for electrification as of today. Giant alliance unveiled a new plan worth €23 billion ($26 billion), to jointly develop and produce electric vehicles. A variety of EV models ranging from compact superminis such as Nissan Micra to light-duty commercial vehicles will be designed and produced by the Franco-Japan alliance starting next year. The main manufacturing operations will be held at Renault&#8217;s latest automotive facility cluster called ElectriCity, which is located in northern France.
The Micra successor is one of the first EVs that the alliance will build by 2030. There is no clear timeline for the compact battery-electric vehicle&#8217;s launch date yet. Rumors indicate that it will be based on the same modular platform as Renault 5. Renault Zoe replacement will enter production later this year. It is safe to say that the electric variant of the Nissan Micra is also in its final development stage before mass production. Industry sources expect electric Micra to be launched by 2024.
Thanks to the collaboration between three automakers, future EVs coming from these brands will cost 30 percent less than previous models such as Renault Zoe and Nissan Leaf.
