Jaguar I-Pace is a premium electric SUV launched in 2018. It is the first all-electric car 86 years old Jaguar built. British carmaker beats the BMW and Mercedes in bringing a luxury electric vehicle to the market. It’s not a high-volume production car though, but I-Pace is clearly the luxurious car market’s Model 3 equivalent. It opened up a broad market for different kinds of high range electric cars such as Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQC, and the BMW iX.
2021 I-Pace comes with dual motor all-wheel drive system, it produces 400 horsepower and 696 Nm of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 200 km per hour. It has got its energy from the 90-kWh battery pack, enough for a range of 470 km when fully charged.
I-Pace is being built jointly with Magna in Austria. Pricing of the Jaguar I-Pace starts at £65,000 in the UK. US pricing is around $70,000.
<h2>Performance</h2>
I-Pace comes with a dual motor drivetrain system. AWD vehicle can produce 400 HP and 696 Nm torque. Its acceleration from zero to 100 km/h only takes 4.8 seconds. As a luxurious vehicle I-Pace offers a comfortable and also speedy drive. Top speed is 200 km/h, powerful electric SUV can reach those speeds in no time.
<h2>Design and Features</h2>
Latest version of the Jaguar I-Pace has an improved front grille design with chrome details. It looks very similar to the gas-powered F-Pace. The only difference is that I-Pace has a completely closed grille which enables car to be more aerodynamically efficient. There are still vents on the bumper down below for cooling the battery system etc.
Jaguar updated the infotainment system with a 10-inch touch display and the latest version of the JLR operation system. Infotainment experience can get a little laggy sometimes and finding what you are looking for easily takes some getting used to, but it supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via wireless connection as standard. There is also a 5-inch climate control display alongside the physical dials and buttons adding a lot of practicality. Base model I-Pace S doesn’t include this climate control touch display though.
Both front seats come with heating as standard. Wireless charging pad is available for all trims as well. 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard.
Interior quality is very good, soft materials and plastic parts definitely look classy. But Audi e-tron and e-tron S does feel more luxurious than the I-Pace. Audi did a better job with the interior design.
Back seats offer quite a lot of space for the rear occupants. However, there is nothing special in the back row of the I-Pace, no climate control, only couple of USB ports and optional heated seats. Despite being very spacious I-Pace is only available as a 5-seater. Tesla Model X is still the only electric SUV in this segment to offer seven-seat option.
<h2>Range and Charging</h2>
Jaguar has been using the same 90 kWh battery pack in the I-Pace ever since its launch. Drivers can get 470 kilometers of range from it on a single charge. Charging is the downside of this D-segment electric car. I-Pace only supports 100 kW DC charging, %10-80 will take 45 minutes, while its competitors such as BMW iX3 can reach the same charge level in around 30 minutes thanks to its 150 kW DC support.

Ford Mustang Mach-E is a performance-oriented electric SUV that comes with both RWD and AWD drivetrain options. It is the first “Mustang” branded electric vehicle Ford manufactured and launched to the market. It offers up to 294 HP with the single motor, and 351 HP with the dual motor options. It’s not more powerful than Tesla Model Y or Jaguar I-Pace, but Ford made a faster version of the electric Mustang called Mach-E GT. With the GT version, highest power figures went up to 487 HP and 860 Nm of torque. It can reach 0 to 100 km/h of speed in 3.7 seconds.
Ford offers the Mach-E with both 75.7 kWh and 98.8 kWh battery packs. According to WLTP test cycle, single motor big battery variant of the Mach-E can travel 610 kilometers when fully charged. Shortest range belongs to the Mach-E AWD Standard Range version, which is 400 km. 150 kW DC, charging only supported by the Extended Range and GT options. Mach-E models with the small battery can reach 115 kW charging rates when plugged into a DC rapid charger. Standard Range versions should get 80 percent charge in 38 minutes, whereas Extended Range and GT models can be charged from %0-%80 in 43 minutes.
Mustang Mach-E is available in the US, starting price is around $43,000 without any incentives. Most expensive and also the sportiest Mach-E GT carries a $60,500 price tag.
<h2>Performance</h2>
Firm suspension and quite raised driving position aside, Mustang Mach-E is a tremendous electric car to drive. It has five different performance options. Mach-E RWD Standard Range and AWD Standard Range versions have 269 HP, torque figures are 430 Nm and 580 Nm respectively.
Dual motor AWD drivetrain with Extended Range battery offers 351 horsepower, 580 Nm torque and 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.8 seconds. Fastest electric Mustang version, the so-called Mach-E GT is also an AWD vehicle. Its two electric motors can produce 487 HP and 860 Nm torque. Grand Tour special can reach 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds. Its top speed electronically limited to 200 km per hour. Mach-E GT aside, top speed of the other Mach-E variants is 180 km/h.
<h2>Design and Features</h2>
Ford Mustang Mach-E has a sort of coupe-like roof line, giving it a sporty profile. Headlights and taillights are very similar to the ones on the newest Mustangs. But front side of the Mach-E does give away its electric secret because Ford designed a nose that almost completely closed for efficiency reasons. It looks smooth and gives the car a unique look. The vents low down can also be opened and closed automatically depending on whether the battery system needs cooling or not.
Interestingly, no sign of any Ford logo on the exterior side, as Ford consistently points out that even though it has an electric drivetrain and battery power, Mach-E is a Mustang. They wanted to emphasize the true identity of the car by not including any blue oval emblem.
Ford uses very sophisticated door handles in the Mach-E. Driver’s side includes a numpad for keyless entry and a small handle that helps pulling the door open. When the door first opened, a kickstand prevents the door from closing, in order to avoid injuring your fingers. Because there aren’t any normal looking door handles on the rest of the vehicle, there are only buttons and people tend to hold the edge of the door to pull it open. The reason of the door handle-less design is simply aerodynamics. Ford wanted to create one of the most aerodynamical vehicle on the market, achieving that will give the American car maker a chance against the highly popular electric SUV Tesla Model Y.
Thanks to the long hood and the lack of big oily combustion engine, there is enough space for a 100 liters frunk on the front. Space in the back seats is also not bad either.
Mustang Mach-E has a 15.5-inch portrait-oriented infotainment display, on top of the lower third of the vehicle there is also physical know for controlling volume. Ford chose a Bang &amp; Olufsen sound system for the electric Mustang, sound experience is above average as some real-world tests claim.
<h3>Mach-E’s Interior Quality Better Than VW ID.4</h3>
Ford is beating the Volkswagen ID.4 with its interior quality. There is not much hard plastic, instead Blue Oval uses fabric texture on the dashboard and most of the areas around the driver and passengers are covered with soft materials that look cooler than hard plastic stuff.
There is a really large wireless charging pad below the big display, you can easily put your smartphone there and never bother finding your USB cable and plugging your phone.
<h2>Range and Charging</h2>
Ford has Standard Range and Extended Range battery options available with the electric SUV. Standard Range option offers 75.7 kWh energy capacity, it is enough for a 440 km range with RWD, and 400 km with the dual motor Mach-E. These models only support 115 kW DC charging speeds, from 10 percent to 80 percent will take 38 minutes.
With the 98.8 kWh bigger battery, RWD and AWD Extended Range models have 610 km and 540 km of range respectively. Mach-E GT, on the other hand, can travel 500 kilometers on a single charge with the same battery. Extended Range and GT versions of the Mach-E support 150 kW DC charging, 10 to 80 percent charge in 43 minutes.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

🟢Announcing that it will convert diesel mining trucks to electric in 2021 together with #ABB, #Hitachi shared that the first vehicle has been produced.

Thierry Bolloré, the newly appointed head of Jaguar Land Rover. He has declared that starting in 2025, Jaguar will only produce electric vehicles.
Bolloré stated that JLR would leave the production of SUVs to the Land Rover brand starting in 2025. And that Jaguar would solely produce all-electric vehicles after that point.
It has been announced that Jaguar will utilize a distinct platform design, having left Land Rover to use the upcoming MLA (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) platform for reconfigurable electronically controlled gasoline-powered vehicles and the EMA (Electric Modular Architecture).
This implies that the MLA platform-based upcoming Jaguar XJ saloon, which was supposed to debut in the year and go on the market in 2022, has already been dropped from the market. When Bolloré joined Jaguar Land Rover, one of the ideas on the board was to create a new, tiny electric Jaguar SUV. The aim is to compete with the latest Polestar 2 and Tesla&#8217;s Model 3 and Model Y.
A compact Jaguar would indeed be fantastic; we really have to think about it though, said JLR&#8217;s director of engineering, Nick Rogers. The idea for compact, electrical Jaguars has already received backing from the top management.
