Avatr 12 is the second EV that Huawei, CATL and Changan Auto consortium co-developed. It&#8217;s a fully electric &#8216;shooting brake&#8217; designed by former BMW designer Nader Faghihzadeh. Avatr&#8217;s three Chinese shareholders invested in a dedicated EV platform with a 800-volt electrical architecture called CHN and the 12 is the second after Avatr 11 to be based on this unique vehicle platform. 
Huawei is the main technology provider of the Avatr 12. It comes equipped with Huawei&#8217;s DriveONE drivetrain, which is capable of delivering up to 578-horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. It also features Huawei&#8217;s HarmonyOS operating system, ADS 2.0 autonomous driving and ADAS platform, SiC inverter, heat pump system, HD cameras, and sensors. This vehicle is a carnival of Huawei&#8217;s automotive solutions.

Changan Auto is one of the largest automakers in China. Recently, it has developed a new vehicle platform called EPA1, which supports all kinds of powertrain options from hydrogen fuel-cell applications to battery electric systems. After some teasing and concept revealing, the first vehicle built on top of this next-gen vehicle platform is finally available and it&#8217;s called Deep Blue SL03. 
SL03 is the debut model for Changan Auto&#8217;s new sub-brand Deep Blue (Shenlan; 深蓝). The electric sedan, also known as Shenlan SL03 has a distinctive look, especially on the front side of its exterior. Frameless doors, uniquely designed headlights, 1.3 meters-long panoramic sunroof, an infotainment screen that can rotate vertically, and a highly functional head-up display are some of its features worth mentioning. 
Changan Deep Blue SL03 is being offered in three different powertrain options; battery-electric, hydrogen-electric, and plug-in hybrid. We provide you with the BEV version&#8217;s standard specs. It comes with a 258-HP rear-wheel-drive electric motor, 58.1-kWh battery pack, and offers 515 kilometers of range. 
There is also a less powerful and yet more energy-dense version available with a 79-kWh battery pack. The long-range version can travel up to 705 km, according to <a href="https://www.licarco.com/news/ev-range-tests-explained-comparison-between-epa-ratings-wltp-nedc-and-cltc">CLTC</a> test cycle.

Furthermore, the interior of the Deep Blue SL03 looks similiar to Tesla&#8217;s Model 3 and Model Y. There is no physical button on the front. You can easily access all controls through the large touchscreen, which is powered by Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 8155 chipset. The infotainment system&#8217;s interface runs smooth, thanks to its decent chip and the operating system developed by <a href="https://megatronix.cn/">Megatronix</a> called SmartMega OS+.

Changan Deep Blue SL03

Avatr is a premium EV brand that three giant Chinese companies (Changan Auto, Huawei, CATL) co-founded in 2022. Changan Auto manufactures the Avatr-branded fully electric vehicles. Huawei provides smart car technologies, ADAS systems, and mobility services. The third firm, the world&#8217;s biggest lithium-ion battery cell manufacturer CATL supplies the high-voltage battery packs for the Avatr cars. CATL is also the second largest shareholder with a 17 percent stake. Changan Auto holds around 40% of this new EV-maker. 
Premium brand&#8217;s first vehicle&#8217;s called Avatr 11, designed by famous American designer Matthew M. Williams. It uses a special 750-volt high voltage electrical architecture. Thanks to this novel system, Avatr 11 supports up to 240 kW ultra-fast DC charging speeds. Its huge 116.79-kWh battery pack can be charged from 30 percent to 80 percent in 25 minutes. 
Avatr 11 has officially entered production in December 2022, first deliveries made a few weeks later. Mass production of the vehicle takes place at Changan Auto&#8217;s manufacturing plant in Chongqing.

Avatr&#8217;s premium SUV comes equipped with Huawei&#8217;s HarmonyOS operating system and HiCar autonomous drive technology, including processing units, HD cameras, radar sensor, LiDARs, etc. Avatr aims to offer not only a luxurious, comfortable, good-looking sports utility vehicle but also provide its customers with the latest automotive technologies. At first, some features were performing poorly but Avatr has been releasing software upgrades via OTA and slowly getting there to satisfy its drivers. It&#8217;s one of the most successful Chinese brands when it comes to improving the car firmware with OTA updates. 
Avatr 11&#8217;s most unique feature is a LED notification area placed between the hood and the windshield. This display functions as a welcoming signage that shows up when you lock/unlock your vehicle. 
Electric SUV is designed as a coupe, which means there isn&#8217;t enough space to place a properly sized rear window into the car. Instead, Avatr put a digital rear view mirror right away, eliminating any visibility complaints.

Changan Auto unveiled its latest electric sedan called Deep Blue C385. It is built on Changan&#8217;s next-gen modular platform EPA1. Chinese carmaker can design and manufacture four different drivetrains on the same vehicle platform. Changan C385 has pure EV, hydrogen fuel-cell, plug-in hybrid, and also conventional ICE versions.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

#Audi has introduced its first car developed on the all-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron.
The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

Audi Q6 E-Tron | 255 KM Range with a 10-Minute Charge!

Japanese automaker #Mazda has commenced production of its first electric sedan, the EZ-6, featuring an impressive design.
Equipped with a CATL-produced LFP battery offering a 600 km range on a single charge, a 258 horsepower rear-wheel drive motor, and OTA update capability for its in-car control hardware, the vehicle was developed on the EPA platform by Mazda&#8217;s Chinese production partner #Changan Auto.
Manufactured at Changan Auto&#8217;s factory in Nanjing, the Mazda EZ-6 will be available in both fully electric and range-extended versions and will soon be officially launched for sale.

Mazda aims to survive in Europe with a promising electrification plan that includes both plug-in hybrid and fully electric models. Considered the electric version of the Mazda6, the EZ-6 is actually the sibling of Changan Auto&#8217;s Deepal SL03.
Mazda is also working on an electric sedan project for Europe, planning to use the &#8216;SkyActive Scalable EV Architecture&#8217; platform for the model tentatively named the 6e.
