The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. 🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

According to new sources, Bentley&#8217;s first-ever EV won&#8217;t arrive in worldwide dealerships until 2026 instead of 2025 as previously anticipated. According to CEO Adrian Hallmark, the release date of Bentley&#8217;s zero-emissions vehicle has been postponed a year.
Since the EV was initially scheduled to launch in late 2025, Hallmark says the setback is only a few months as opposed to a full year. The vehicle&#8217;s development and design were also displayed to be progressing well.
The brand&#8217;s CEO has stated clearly that the postponement is unrelated to recent rumors that parent firm VW Group is having problems with the software component of its planned electrified high-end vehicles. The exact cause of the delay has not been made public.

By 2030, Bentley hopes to fully stop selling vehicles with internal-combustion engines and transform into a dioxide electric-only company. Therefore, it plans to release 5 EVs. One per year, starting in 2025 and continuing through to the end of this decade.
The first fully electric Bentley vehicle, when it is released, is expected to have 1,400 horsepower (1,419 ps) and take 1.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 kph). The cost will exceed €250,000, or around $253,100.

Even though not having delivered a single 100 percent EV, Bentley&#8217;s CEO plans to burn through the sector&#8217;s specifications page. In the latest interview, Adrian Hallmark teased some specifications and pricing details for Bentley&#8217;s first EV.

If true, this new Bentley would outperform both the Tesla Model S Plaid with1,020 hp and the Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance with 1,111 hp. Both of the speediest passenger EVs on the market, hitting 0-60 mph in under two seconds.
Some specifications solely could be a great selling point for EV connoisseurs with financial backing. Hallmark claims that the new Bentley&#8217;s essential selling point is not its unparagoned speed. He claims it will be the vehicle&#8217;s extremely simple outperforming due to instant torque.

Hallmark did not provide any extra information about the latest Bentley EV. Bentley will invest £2.5 billion in its sustainability over the next 10 years and this investment will transform the Crewe Campus into a world-leading, next-generation, low environmental impact manufacturing facility for its first-ever battery-powered electric vehicles.
<h2>The all-new electric Bentley to launch in 2025</h2>
The first new fully electric Bentley will be manufactured at this upgraded Crewe and be seen by the end of 2025. Chairman and CEO Adrian Hallmark has told that this all-new model will not compete with any of Bentley’s existing models, saying: “We intend to create not just an EV but to shape a segment too.”
By the end of the decade, there will be four more electric Bentley, including new hybrid versions of Bentayga, Continental GT, and Flying Spur.
Hallmark also confirmed that in 2022, Bentayga PHEV will be second in the production line, following the plug-in hybrid drivetrain of the Flying Spur. Bentley awaits that one-fifth of the sales in 2022 will be hybrids.
