<h2>Overview</h2>
BMW iX3 is basically the electrified version of the German automaker’s classic midsize SUV X3. It has a rear-wheel electric drive unit that produces 286 HP and 400 Nm torque. 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.8 seconds. Range of the vehicle is 460 kilometers when battery is full. Top speed is electronically limited to 180 km per hour. But because of its electric motor delivering the maximum torque instantly, BMW iX3 has a way better acceleration performance than similarly sized SUVs on the same price range. 
BMW iX3’s production started in 2020, at the same BMW facility in Germany where ordinary X3 manufactured. BMW just swapped the combustion engine with an electric motor, put a battery pack on the floor and changed almost nothing from the X3. Exterior and interior design have not changed, only added some blue accent color (frozen grey in some color options) around the vehicle and bumpers to remind customers that this is a purely electric SUV.

Rear-wheel drive electric motor on the BMW iX3 can produce 286 horsepower and 400 Nm torque. It can go from zero to 100 km/h in 6.8 sec. Some road tests show even better results! 
BMW iX3’s grip and traction on the road is phenomenal. Part of the reason for that is battery pack of the vehicle sits really low down, and it lowers the central gravity significantly lower than a standard SUV. As a result, iX3’s driving performance is very outstanding.

BMW’s classic kidney shaped front grille is almost fully closed in BMW iX3, the reason is that electric cars doesn’t need much air cooling compared to combustion engines. By closing front end of the vehicle, automakers can also make EVs be more aerodynamical and consume less energy.

For seating setup, German carmaker does offer animal-free seats as a more environmentally friendly option. The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

🟢Announcing that it will convert diesel mining trucks to electric in 2021 together with #ABB, #Hitachi shared that the first vehicle has been produced.
⛏️The giant truck started to be used in a copper-gold mine in Zambia. It climbs with an electrical connection that feeds the battery, similar to a trolleybus, while going to pick up load. When turning downhill while loaded, it recharges its battery thanks to regenerative braking.
🔋In this way, ABB and Hitachi completed the transformation with a smaller one instead of a megawatt-hour battery. They made this possible thanks to the regenerative braking ability of the huge electric motors seen in the prototype photo.

⚡Tesla officials confirmed in an interview with Jay Leno that an inductive charging platform has been developed for electric vehicle owners.
🔋Earlier this year, company officials hinted that work had begun to develop a platform for wireless charging of electric vehicles. Tesla&#8217;s acquisition of a European company called Wiferion was trying to develop wireless charging technology for electric vehicles.
⚙️Although Wiferion was acquired in July, Tesla sold the company shortly after (keeping the engineers).

🟢Tesla officials have chosen to keep the developments secret so far. The officials confirmed the work on wireless charging technology in the video review of Cybertruck published by Jay Leno. The company&#8217;s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, said in his statements: “We are working on wireless charging. So, you don&#8217;t need to attach anything to the vehicle. “You park in your garage, step onto the pad, and your vehicle charges,” he said.

Tesla did not mention the potential wireless EV charging release date or even whether the technology may be available to owners. The Southern California cafe and Supercharger station that Tesla has long teased were depicted on one side of the presentation slide in what looks to be a fresh depiction. There was a Tesla Model S in a garage on the other side of the slide, next to a wireless charging pad. It&#8217;s also a crucial technological element for autonomous vehicles. <h2>Not Just Tesla Has Been Highlighting Technology Lately</h2>
One of the top enterprises specializing in inductive EV charging for cars, WiTricity, will not say if the Tesla charging example is theirs or a licensed version of their technology. The Genesis GV60 in its native market of South Korea is the sole OEM industrial application for which it is the only firm outside of China to provide the technology. Will Tesla Soon Provide Wireless EV Charging?

Toyota received criticism for its advertisements a few years ago that referred to their electrically assisted vehicles as self-charging hybrids. The news is that a German bus will soon be refueling on a wireless ev charging highway in the city of Balingen. It is the newest step in turning that fantasy into a reality.
Even while the project is limited to a single bus, it is not difficult to see how the technology can eventually be used in vehicles and other places all over the world.

Similar to how inductive charging on cell phones functions, so does automotive technology. Magnetic coils in the ground transmit electricity to a coil on the automobile through the air. Car static charge stations have been available for a while. The fact remains that charging highways are more complex and are still in the planning stages.
<h2>Wireless EV Charging System</h2>
For the Balingen project, Israeli firm Electreon and German firm EnBW have collaborated to install 0.6 mile/1 km of Electric Road System (ERS) along a section of German highway, as well as two static charging stations at spots where the bus usually stops along its route. The Electreon will build charging infrastructure, which will get up to $3.2 million in funding.
