Almost two years after its Chinese debut, the all-electric shooting brake Zeekr 001 has finally arrived at European shores. Zeekr, by the way, is an EV-dedicated car brand founded by China’s largest privately-owned automaker Geely.
Thanks to its streamlined design, Zeekr’s first vehicle offers an impressive 620 kilometers of WLTP range. According to the Chinese brand’s official statement, 001 achieves great efficiency with the help of a low wind resistance body design and CATL’s groundbreaking cell-to-pack (CTP) technology, which dramatically increases the energy density of the Zeekr 001’s 100-kWhy battery pack.
Zeekr 001 comes equipped with a 22-kW AC onboard charger as standard. This equipment can fully charge 001’s huge battery in only five and a half hours. It’s also capable of charging at up to 200-kW when connected to a DC charger.
There are three variants of this electric shooting brake available in Europe: Zeekr 001 Long Range RWD, 001 Performance AWD, and 001 Privilege AWD. The long-range version can travel up to 620 kilometers and offers an 0-100 km/h acceleration performance of 7.2 seconds. Its rear-wheel-drive powertrain can produce 272 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque.
The Performance AWD and Privilege AWD variants come with a 544-HP (400-kW) dual motor system that helps Zeekr 001 accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds! But the WLTP range is reduced to 590 and 580 kilometers, respectively. The range-topping Zeekr 001 Privilege AWD differs from other versions with an air suspension system, an extra 5.7-inch rear climate control display, two-tone paint, and some other exterior and interior design tweaks.
