The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. 🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

#Renault unveiled its highly anticipated budget-friendly electric car today at the Geneva International Motor Show. The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, the first product of the AmpR Small platform (a revamped version of the CMF-B EV), will ignite the competition in the European electric vehicle market with its starting price of €25,000.
The vehicle offers two battery options: 40 and 52 kWh, with battery cells manufactured by AESC in China this year. Starting in 2025, with the Chinese company beginning production in France, the batteries will be entirely domestically produced.

Ford has submitted a patent application to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a dual-charging system. This technology would enable many electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously from a single charging station.
The technology described in the patent application employs bidirectional charging. Nevertheless, this technique enables cars to accomplish both, absorbing electricity via one charge port and discharging it to another vehicle through a second port, as opposed to charging or discharging through a single charge port.
Ford said in the patent application that this could be attainable using either DC fast-charging stations or AC power sources. We can give examples such as wall outlets and home charging stations. And it&#8217;s not only for charging electric vehicles.
