Lexus

Lexus UX 300e is an electric compact crossover launched in China and Europe last year. It is the first car to use Lexus’s newest compact vehicle platform called GA-C.
It offers 204 HP, 305 Nm torque, and a 54.3-kWh battery pack. UX 300e can take you from 0 to 100 km/h speed in 7.5 seconds and you can travel more than 300 kilometers on a single charge. Biggest downside is the slow DC charging speeds. It takes 50 minutes to charge UX 300e from 0 percent to 80 percent.
Lexus UX 300e is being built at the Toyota Motor Kyushu plant in Japan. It starts at around £41,000 in the UK. In China, you need to spend at least 362,000 yuan which is around €47,000 to purchase UX 300e. It is more expensive than better equipped Tesla Model 3 and the BMW iX3.
<h2>Performance</h2>
Lexus offers only one drivetrain option for the UX 300e and it’s not all-wheel drive. It has a single electric motor located at front axle which can produce 204 HP and 300 Nm torque. Top speed is 160 km/h (100 mph) and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration performance is 7.5 seconds.
UX 300e is a very comfortable crossover, handling is very light and driving position is not too high.
<h2>Design and Features</h2>
Lexus doesn’t bother with any aerodynamical stuff and leave UX 300e’s front grille open like a normal gasoline powered vehicle. It will probably affect its range, but front end of the UX 300e looks really impressive.
Electric crossover UX 300e has some black plastic parts around the wheel arches, aggressively designed rear side also helps it to create a sportier look. But ground clearance is not suitable for sports driving, because of the battery pack sitting very low.
Lexus UX 300e comes with a 7-inch infotainment display and it’s not a touchscreen, instead you get a touchpad like a laptop for navigation. It does give the feeling of an outdated car interior. Styling is really good though; leather seats are uniquely designed and materials around the dashboard and door trims slightly justify the high price tag.
Even though electric Lexus is not a cheap car, it doesn’t have navigation as standard. There are lots of extras to choose from though, such as wireless charging pad, head-up display, Mark Levinson sound system etc.
<h2>Range and Charging</h2>
Battery capacity of the Lexus UX 300e is 54.3-kWh. That is enough for a range of 305 kilometers when the vehicle is fully charged. Japanese carmaker only adds the 50 kW DC charging support to its first electric vehicle. 0% to 80% will take 50 minutes. In order to fully charge the UX 300e in your house with a 6.6 kW AC charger, you will need 6 to 7 hours.

Jaguar I-Pace is a premium electric SUV launched in 2018. It is the first all-electric car 86 years old Jaguar built. British carmaker beats the BMW and Mercedes in bringing a luxury electric vehicle to the market. It’s not a high-volume production car though, but I-Pace is clearly the luxurious car market’s Model 3 equivalent. It opened up a broad market for different kinds of high range electric cars such as Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQC, and the BMW iX.
2021 I-Pace comes with dual motor all-wheel drive system, it produces 400 horsepower and 696 Nm of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 200 km per hour. It has got its energy from the 90-kWh battery pack, enough for a range of 470 km when fully charged.
I-Pace is being built jointly with Magna in Austria. Pricing of the Jaguar I-Pace starts at £65,000 in the UK. US pricing is around $70,000.
<h2>Performance</h2>
I-Pace comes with a dual motor drivetrain system. AWD vehicle can produce 400 HP and 696 Nm torque. Its acceleration from zero to 100 km/h only takes 4.8 seconds. As a luxurious vehicle I-Pace offers a comfortable and also speedy drive. Top speed is 200 km/h, powerful electric SUV can reach those speeds in no time.
<h2>Design and Features</h2>
Latest version of the Jaguar I-Pace has an improved front grille design with chrome details. It looks very similar to the gas-powered F-Pace. The only difference is that I-Pace has a completely closed grille which enables car to be more aerodynamically efficient. There are still vents on the bumper down below for cooling the battery system etc.
Jaguar updated the infotainment system with a 10-inch touch display and the latest version of the JLR operation system. Infotainment experience can get a little laggy sometimes and finding what you are looking for easily takes some getting used to, but it supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via wireless connection as standard. There is also a 5-inch climate control display alongside the physical dials and buttons adding a lot of practicality. Base model I-Pace S doesn’t include this climate control touch display though.
Both front seats come with heating as standard. Wireless charging pad is available for all trims as well. 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard.
Interior quality is very good, soft materials and plastic parts definitely look classy. But Audi e-tron and e-tron S does feel more luxurious than the I-Pace. Audi did a better job with the interior design.
Back seats offer quite a lot of space for the rear occupants. However, there is nothing special in the back row of the I-Pace, no climate control, only couple of USB ports and optional heated seats. Despite being very spacious I-Pace is only available as a 5-seater. Tesla Model X is still the only electric SUV in this segment to offer seven-seat option.
<h2>Range and Charging</h2>
Jaguar has been using the same 90 kWh battery pack in the I-Pace ever since its launch. Drivers can get 470 kilometers of range from it on a single charge. Charging is the downside of this D-segment electric car. I-Pace only supports 100 kW DC charging, %10-80 will take 45 minutes, while its competitors such as BMW iX3 can reach the same charge level in around 30 minutes thanks to its 150 kW DC support.

<h2>Overview</h2>
BMW iX is the first electric SUV that originally designed as an electric vehicle by the German carmaker. They call it an electric SAV, a term refers to the Sport Activity Vehicle concept. It has three drivetrain options, xDrive 40, xDrive 50, and the sportier version M60. BMW iX comes with an all-wheel drive dual motor system that produce up to 619 horsepower, 765 Nm torque, offers 200 km/h (~124 mph) top speed. There are two battery options for the iX, one with 71 kWh, the other with 105.2 kWh capacity. It can travel up to 630 kilometers (390 miles) on a single charge.
BMW iX is currently being manufactured in Dingolfing, Germany; it will be available to order later in 2021. It will also be the first electric SUV that BMW importing to the United States. Price of the iX will start from €77,300, more powerful, and higher range version xDrive 50 will of course cost more.
<h2>BMW iX M60 Performance</h2>
Base model BMW iX xDrive 40 comes with two electric motors delivering 326 HP, 630 Nm torque, 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. It has the smallest battery option available for the iX. With its 71-kWh battery, xDrive 40 offers a range of 425 kilometers when battery is full.
The more powerful version, the iX xDrive 50 offers 523 HP, 765 Nm torque and a big 105.2 kWh battery pack. 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.6 seconds and top speed is the same as base model, electronically limited to 200 km/h.
BMW will also unveil a sporty version of the vehicle called BMW iX M60 which will carry the M Performance badge. M60 will produce more than 600 horsepower and it will go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds.
<h2>BMW iX M60 Design and Features</h2>
BMW uses a very different ‘kidney grille’ on this electric vehicle. Fully closed front end wrapped with a unique digital pattern that looks three dimensional. LED headlights are narrower and taillights even slimmer than any other BMW car.
The hood of the iX does not open, so no frunk to see over there. One of the quirkiest features of the car is that front BMW logo can be opened and used to fill up windshield water, as there is no hood area to put necessary stuff like this one.
It is the first BMW SUV that comes with frameless door windows which overall create a sporty vibe around the design. Very uniquely crafted door handles also carry that vibe. When you use Tesla’s or other hidden-type door handles, in order to open the door, you have to push one side and the other side will pop up, and then you hold on to that part to open the door. In the iX, Chinese designer of the vehicle made use of a much simple door handle mechanism. It looks flat, but you don’t have to push or pull thing, just approach your fingers below the slim opening of the handle and the door will open.
On the interior, there is a curved panel sitting beneath the hexagonal shaped steering wheel that houses digital gauge cluster and infotainment system. Screen sizes are 12.3 and 14.9-inches respectively. It sure looks much more technological than the iX’s little brother BMW iX3.
iX also comes with Bowers &amp; Wilkins sound system which packs a total of 30 speakers around the interior. Sound experience is beyond any BMW car available right now, and as all of the engine sounds composed by famous Hans Zimmer, driving the car will be a joy to your ears.

BMW uses two different battery packs for this electric SAV. iX xDrive 40 version has a 71-kWh battery, xDrive 50 and M60 on the other hand will take advantage of a much bigger 105.2-kWh battery pack.
DC charging speed also vary depending on which iX version you get. xDrive 40 supports 150 kW DC charging, 10-80 percent in 31 minutes. xDrive 50 and M60’s DC charging rate will reach up to 200 kW. From 10 percent charge to 80% will take 35 minutes, as they use a bigger battery than the base model.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

#Audi has introduced its first car developed on the all-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron.
The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

Audi Q6 E-Tron | 255 KM Range with a 10-Minute Charge!

Entering a new era of electric vehicle transformation, BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC unveiled its iX3 equivalent vehicle developed from scratch to be electric.
Announced to have an 800V electric architecture, the Neue Klasse X is set to achieve a range of 300 kilometers with just 10 minutes of charging. The vehicle will also come with a structural battery pack comprising cylindrical cells measuring 46120, offering a volumetric energy density 20% higher.

Facing increasing criticism in recent years for its growing grille design, the German giant will incorporate a more compact grille design in the Neue Klasse series vehicles. The vehicle is expected to have significantly higher aerodynamic efficiency.
Improvements made in battery, motor, and aerodynamic efficiency segments are expected to result in 25% higher efficiency compared to previous-generation BMWs for the Neue Klasse X.

BMW’s New Generation Electric SUV Introduced as A Concept | Neue Klasse X!

🟢On March 21st, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/bmw-group/" data-attribute-index="1" data-entity-type="MINI_COMPANY">BMW Group</a> will introduce its first all-electric &#8220;Neue Klasse&#8221; model as a concept. With the new platform, BMW promises vehicles that are 40% cheaper to produce and 25% more efficient!
🔋The iX3 equivalent Neue Klasse X, to be revealed next Thursday, will deliver up to 600 horsepower in its performance version. Manufactured by Chinese companies CATL and EVE, the cylindrical cells will integrate into the structural battery pack, which will be integrated into the chassis of the SUV. Additionally, with an 800V electrical architecture and BMW&#8217;s next-generation electric motors, the vehicle will gain a significant advantage in terms of range.
🚙Being the first BMW of the Neue Klasse era, the vehicle will enter series production in Hungary in the second half of 2025. It will be followed by the sedan i3, to be produced in Munich in 2026. Within the next two years, four more fully electric BMWs using the Neue Klasse platform will be launched.
