Developed on the AmpR Small platform and described as the SUV version of the R5 E-Tech, the electric Renault 4 comes with 40/52 kWh battery options, a range of 300/409 km, front-wheel drive motors with 122/150 HP, a heat pump thermal management system, charging capability from 15% to 80% in 30 minutes, and V2L and V2G (ability to supply power to electronic devices and even the grid) functionality.
The entry-level model with a 122 HP motor and 300 km range is priced at €29,400, while the R4 E-Tech with 150 HP and a 409 km range will sell for €32,400. The electric R4, which has a 2.62-meter wheelbase, 420 liters of trunk capacity, retro design, Android Automotive OS operating system, and a lower price compared to its rivals (Ford Puma Gen-E, Jeep Avenger), appears to have high sales potential.
