The legendary Ford Capri has returned as a fully electric coupe SUV. Developed on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, the vehicle promises a range of up to 627 kilometers on a single charge.

The Capri comes with two battery options, 77 and 79 kWh. The single motor version delivers 286 HP and a range of 627 km, while the dual motor version offers 340 HP and a range of 592 km.

Measuring 4,634 mm in length, the electric Capri will be priced higher than the Explorer, which starts at €42,000. The base model of the Capri is expected to be around €52,000.

With a 527-liter trunk, a charging time from 10% to 80% in 28/26 mins, an optional heat pump (!), and coupe-style design, the Ford Capri will soon enter mass production at the American automotive giant’s Cologne facility. The exact release date is still unknown.
