Citroën has launched its budget-friendly electric vehicles developed on the 'Smart Car' platform in Turkey.
Produced at Stellantis’ factories in Slovakia and Serbia, the Citroën E-C3 and E-C3 Aircross come with a 44 kWh LFP battery, a range of 320/303 km, a 113-horsepower motor, and a new design first revealed with Citroën’s Oli concept.
Although introduced in 2023, the E-C3 took nearly a year to reach the European market due to production and software-related issues. While its pricing appears highly competitive, the software problems have yet to be fully resolved.
Despite its poor software, the city-focused E-C3 holds significant sales potential in Turkey as the country’s most affordable car. Its 4.4-meter SUV version, the E-C3 Aircross, will be offered at a starting price of 1.25 million Turkish lira.
