    Audi Q4 e-tron is a mid-range electric SUV. It is the cheaper, smaller and city friendly version of the original e-tron and e-tron S. The platform it uses, VW Group’s bespoke MEB architecture is purely electric vehicles intended, unlike e-tron’s underpinnings. Thanks to the dedicated EV platform, Q4 e-tron’s performance and weight are very much improved.

    Audi offers three versions of this vehicle: Q4 35 e-tron, Q4 40 e-tron, and Q4 50 e-tron quattro. It has up to 299 horsepower, 460 Nm of torque, and electronically limited 180 km/h top speed. 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. 125 kW DC charging also supported by the Q4 40 and Q4 50 e-tron models. These versions can reach %80 of charge in 38 minutes. There are also two battery options: 55 kWh and 82 kWh. Q4 e-tron offers up to 534 km of range on a single charge.

    Pricing of the Audi Q4 e-tron starts at €41,900 for the normal SUV and €43,900 for the Q4 Sportback e-tron. All-wheel drive Q4 50 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron will cost more than €50,000. It will be available to US customers later in the 2021. US pricing starts at $36,400 after incentives. European customers are able to order the Q4 e-tron since June 2021.

    Performance

    Audi Q4 50 e-tron quattro and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron quattro come with dual motor AWD drivetrain producing 299 HP and 460 Nm torque. Top speed for these all-wheel drive SUVs is 180 km/h. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h of speed in 6.2 seconds.

    Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron offer 204 HP, 310 Nm torque, 160 km/h top speed, and 82-kWh battery. 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.

    Base versions Q4 35 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 35 e-tron packed with the least powerful motor, 170 HP and 310 Nm torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h of speed in 9.0 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h.

    Design and Features

    Audi Q4 e-tron uses a new hexagonal shaped steering wheel. And it also comes with a very unique front grille which has a silver textured design. Front end of the vehicle fully closed, in order to improve its energy efficiency. Audi logo on the front hides ADAS sensors behind its glossy finish.

    Q4 e-tron models has a standard SUV style design and a higher roof line, whereas Q4 Sportback e-tron carries a coupe-like body profile, as being the sportier version of the vehicle. It has a full-length lightbar, roof spoiler and a nicely designed bumper on the back.

    ‘Normal back’ variant of the Q4 e-tron is slightly more practical than the better looking Q4 Sportback e-tron. There is more head room for the back seat passengers, and luggage capacity is higher in the SUV-style Q4 e-tron.

    Q4 e-tron comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster display as standard. You can use touch capacitive buttons on the steering wheel to control this screen. Electric SUV also has a 10.1-inch infotainment display which has a resolution of 1,540 x 720 pixels. Audi says Q4 e-tron can be equipped with a bigger 11.6-inch 1,764 x 824 pixels display later this year. Functionality-wise, there is not much difference between these two.

    There are two USB-C ports and a 12V power outlet in the back row, there is also climate control buttons for the back seat occupants.

    Unfortunately, Audi does not include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and park assistant with camera support as standard. You have to pay extra for those features.

    Range and Charging

    Audi Q4 35 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 35 e-tron comes with a 55-kWh battery, capable of traveling 341 km and 349 km, respectively. Base version of the Q4 e-tron offers 100 kW DC and 7.2 kW AC charging.

    Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 50 e-tron quattro make use of the 82-kWh battery pack. Range estimates according to WLTP test cycle: 521 km for the Q4 40 e-tron, 534 km for the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron, 488 km for the Q4 50 e-tron quattro, and 497 km for the Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron quattro. These models can also be charged with 125 kW DC charging, %5-80 in 38 minutes. Built-in AC charger can go as high as 11 kW.
