About 2023 Hyundai KONA Electric
Hyundai completely redesigned its popular B-SUV Kona. It’s now an EV-first vehicle model. Previous versions of the Hyundai Kona Electric were simple ICE-to-EV conversions.
The all-new Kona Electric is not only more powerful, it’s also more efficient than the last year’s model. Long range version with the bigger 65.4-kWh battery pack offers up to 490 kilometers of range. But charging speed hasn’t changed. It still supports 100 kW DC charging, which is enough to get the charge level from 10 to 80 percent in 41 minutes. Thanks to improved thermal management, new Kona Electric will preserve its high charging rates and travel longer distances in cold temperatures.
