🟢The investigation into the ‘false test result‘ scandal started with Daihatsu last month and spread to Toyota’s diesel engine vehicles the other day. The case is deepening.

🏭 It was revealed that Toyota has been reporting falsified test results for certification in some vehicle safety tests since 2003. Today, transport officials raided a Toyota plant after the CEO Koji Sato apologized for the company’s misconduct on some test results yesterday.

The company is now on the agenda with the factory raid of ministry officials in Japan after CEO Koji Sato apologized in front of the cameras yesterday.

⚡Some of Daihatsu’s production licenses have been canceled and production has been stopped in four of its factories. The scandal emerged with the confessions of an informant within the company. The case spread to diesel-engined Land Cruiser, Hilux, Toyota, and Lexus brand vehicles in the second wave. Production of these vehicles was also stopped until real engine emission tests were completed.
