The Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV, manufactured in Mexico together with the Optiq will also be launched for the European market this year.
It was revealed that the Electric Cadillac would arrive in Turkey! The Cadillac and Chevrolet will go ahead with sales in the European market this year as General Motors broadens its line of vehicles. The crossover Optiq, which will be Cadillac’s counter maneuver to the Tesla Model Y, was first spotted in China.
The 100% electric car with a length of 4.8 meters will have 150 kW (204 HP) and 180 kW (245 HP) engine options. Optiq has 10% + 10% customs tax since it will be manufactured in GM’s factory in Mexico. The vehicle will have a much more suitable SCT than the US Cadillac Lyriq. So if it comes to Turkey, it will be in the 10% SCT range.
The compact SUV, which is known to be equipped with an NMC battery to be supplied by CATL, bears a remarkable resemblance to Cadillac’s larger Lyriq model. The Chevrolet Blazer EV and Equinox EV, manufactured in Mexico together with the Optiq, will also be going to the market for Europe this year. It is not yet known when the American company will get into Turkey. However, compared to the models originating in the USA and China, Mexican production with low customs duties is much more likely to appear in Turkey.
