In the initial Q3 of 2023, 1,324,074 Tesla were shipped worldwide.
After releasing its delivery data for Q4 of 2023 and the whole year, the carmaker Tesla smashed yet another delivery record.
In the initial three quarters of this year, 1,324,074 Tesla were shipped worldwide.
Given that 1.8 million vehicles are expected to be delivered by 2023, Tesla needs to deliver about 476,000 units in Q4 to meet its target.
This seemed feasible since it’s just around 40,000 more vehicles than Tesla delivered in the previous quarter and 10,000 more than the automaker’s prior quarterly report, which occurred only earlier this year.
Wall Street anticipated that Tesla would meet its 2023 estimate, estimating that the company would deliver 480,000 vehicles in Q4 and just over 1.8 million vehicles altogether.
Tesla announced its Q4 2023 production and delivery figures today, demonstrating that it met its target of 484,000 deliveries.
The carmaker further declared that Q4 had a record-breaking production of 495,000 vehicles:
‘In the fourth quarter, we produced approximately 495,000 vehicles and delivered over 484,000 vehicles. In 2023, vehicle deliveries grew 38% YoY to 1.81 million while production grew 35% YoY to 1.85 million. Thank you to all of our customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, and supporters who helped us achieve a great 2023.’
Every time Tesla releases its quarterly profits, which are scheduled for January 24th, the figures are changed accordingly.
Tesla’s Q4 2023 production and delivery figures are as follows:
Production | Deliveries | Subject to operating lease accounting
Model 3/Y | 476,777 | 461,538 | 2% |
Other Models | 18,212 | 22,969 | 3% |
Total | 494,989 | 484,507 | 2% |
And here are Tesla’s full-year 2023 production and delivery numbers:
Production | Deliveries
Model 3/Y | 1,775,159 | 1,739,707 |
Other Models | 70,826 | 68,874 |
Total | 1,845,985 | 1,808,581 |
Regretfully, Tesla now features deliveries of the Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck in addition to not releasing individual figures for the Model 3 and Model Y.
