Skywell (known as Skyworth in China) held a launch event in China today and announced a new electric vehicle.
The electric SUV, named Skyworth Monolith, will be priced at approximately $16,500 and is set to go on sale in 2026. All versions will feature an 800V electrical architecture and LiDAR as standard equipment.
Following the Skywell ET5, which was once sold in Turkey, the giant company has begun developing a new platform and design philosophy. Despite a decline in electric vehicle sales, the company has not given up. However, there has been little progress on the vehicle production facility plans in Turkey and another country, which were mentioned at the same event last year.
In 2026, alongside the Monolith, the company is expected to release a hatchback model called Skyworth Q and an electric sedan.
