Forced to change its electric vehicle strategy, Toyota is launching new models one after another. This time, the Japanese company is set to compete with Chinese rivals by introducing a D-segment sedan.
Developed in collaboration with GAC Motor, the bZ7, which will feature Huawei's HarmonyOS operating system, will offer a range of at least 700 kilometers on a single charge and will not lag behind its Chinese competitors in autonomous driving capabilities.
Recognizing the need for an advanced operating system for a good electric vehicle experience, Toyota will use Huawei's platform in one of its cars for the first time. Expected to hit the roads in early 2026, a global version of the bZ7 is also in development.
