Leapmotor's $19,300 electric vehicle begins production in Europe!

According to Reuters, a 200 million euro investment will be made in Stellantis' Zaragoza factory in Spain, which has been producing compact vehicles for brands like Citroen and Peugeot since 1982.

The first model to be manufactured in Spain will be Leapmotor's 4.5-meter electric SUV, the B10. Equipped with a 56/67 kWh LFP battery, 132/160 kW motor options, and 800V architecture support, the vehicle starts at $15,000 in China.

With a 600 km range, a LiDAR sensor-equipped autonomous driving system, 800V architecture (10%-80% charge in 25 minutes), and an advanced 27-in-1 thermal management system, the top-tier B10 package is priced at $19,300 (139,800 yuan).

Set to begin European production in the first quarter of 2026, Leapmotor's choice of Spain was influenced by the country’s decision—unlike Poland—not to support new customs duties imposed on China. Stellantis had initially planned to start production in Poland, but this plan was not approved by China.
