It’s been more than three and a half years since Tesla unveiled Cybertruck. 1.7 million people pre-ordered this radically designed all-electric pickup. But the launch day is nowhere near to being announced. There have been some rumors regarding Tesla canceling the Cybertruck project. Even a highly popular YouTuber made a video with the title of ‘Tesla Just Cancelled the Cybertruck‘. Is it true that Tesla canceled this highly anticipated project? Let’s do some fact-checking!

Tesla didn’t cancel or even consider canceling the Cybertruck. In fact, Elon Musk officially confirmed on multiple occasions that the electric pickup truck will go on sale in 2023. Although the Cybertruck is a very hard vehicle to put into mass production as its unique cold metal exoskeleton structure, Tesla is eager to start producing its first pickup truck. It’ll most likely be the most popular vehicle launched in 2023.

Tesla originally aimed to start Cybertruck production in 2021. The never-ending delays and Elon Musk’s “difficult to build” prompts regarding the Cybertruck convinced lots of people that the Cybertruck is really dead. Truth be told, it’s too hard to engineer and design a vehicle like that. But Tesla is publicly saying that design-wise, Cybertruck development is finalized. Tesla fans have been posting new Cybertruck prototype photos and videos almost every day since the beginning of this year. After a long wait, the Cybertruck is definitely coming out soon!
