Huawei, partnering with SAIC Motor (MG's owner), has released the first images of its new compact SUV electric vehicle.
Named the Shangjie H5, the vehicle will feature Huawei's ADS 4 autonomous driving platform and a LiDAR sensor, with a wheelbase exceeding 2.8 meters.
Developed on SAIC's platform and equipped with Huawei's operating system, motor, ADAS system, and other components, the Shangjie H5 will be produced at SAIC's factory and launched this fall.
Announced earlier this year, SAIC and Huawei plan to invest 6 billion yuan (~$837 million) in this significant collaboration.
