BYD wants to establish an electric vehicle factory in Germany following its ventures in Türkiye and Hungary!

According to Reuters, the third BYD plant in Europe will be established in Germany. Germany’s decision not to support additional customs duties on Chinese automakers is said to have played a role in this choice.

With the factories in Türkiye and Hungary, BYD’s total production capacity will reach 500,000 units, and it is possible that the third facility will focus on producing higher-end brands like Denza.

BYD is not limiting itself to vehicle production alone. The electric vehicle giant, which also aims to relocate the manufacturing of batteries and other subsystems to Europe, appears poised to announce more investment decisions in the coming years.
