BYDCompany held a major event today in Shenzhen, announcing that its new DiPilot 100 ADAS system will be a standard feature on 21 different models, including the $10,000 Seagull.
The DiPilot 100 package includes 12 cameras, 5 mmWave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, all developed and manufactured by #BYD. It also features Horizon Robotics’ Journey J6M chipset with 128 TOPS computing power.
Dolphin, Atto 3, Seal U, Seal, Han, and Tang will now come standard with DiPilot 100, without any price increase!
BYD vehicles equipped with DiPilot 100 will offer:
✅ Autonomous driving in highways
✅ Automatic lane change
✅ Obstacle avoidance & traffic jam navigation
✅ Adaptive cruise control
✅ Autonomous valet parking & exit
The most exciting feature is that owners will be able to train their cars on fixed routes (e.g., home-to-work or home-to-school) and have fully autonomous driving on those routes. This feature will be delivered via OTA update later this year.
Additionally, BYD introduced:
🔹 DiPilot 300 (for premium Fangchengbao, Denza, and high-end BYD models) with LiDAR
🔹 DiPilot 600 (for Yangwang models) with three LiDAR sensors for fully autonomous city driving
