David Blenkle, who uses a 2022 model electric Mustang for commercial transportation in the U.S., states that despite exceeding 400,000 kilometers in just three years, his vehicle remains in good condition under real-world conditions. Many customers believe electric vehicles are less durable than internal combustion engine vehicles. However, minimal capacity loss even in usage far exceeding battery warranty conditions of 150,000–200,000 kilometers disproves these negative perceptions.
Mustang Mach-E Chief Product Engineer Matthew Gabrielli says this vehicle, with 400,000 kilometers, is concrete proof that modern electric vehicles are designed for longevity and reliability.
Ford’s standard warranty covers the battery and electric motors for 8 years or 200,000 kilometers.
