The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

The BYD Seal U Has Been Launched in China with a Price Starting at $18,040

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. 🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

In his presentation at the opening ceremony, Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş gave information about 5 different models that Togg aims to launch by 2030. CEO has announced that the C-Sedan and the C-X Coupé model will be launched in 2025 and 2026 respectively.
From Togg&#8217;s official social media accounts, &#8220;While the first smart device <a href="https://www.licarco.com/togg-c-suv">C-SUV</a> will be settled down from the production line, it will be introduced to the <a href="https://www.licarco.com/togg-sedan">C-Sedan</a> and C-X Coupé, whose work continues in line with the plans.&#8221; has been shared.
The Togg C-Sedan, which has a different front grid design from the sedan concept launched in January 2022, will be released in the first half of 2025. There will be a gap of about two years between the C-SUV and the Sedan model. The sedan model will be followed by the C-X Coupé with a sports sedan identity in 2026.

At the factory opening ceremony on October 29, we will see the start of mass production for TOGG, which set out to create a global brand with 100 percent local intellectual and industrial property and lay the groundwork for the Turkish mobility ecosystem. By the end of the first quarter of 2023, the electric SUV in the C segment will be available on the market after passing all necessary technical certification tests on an international level. Togg, which not only produces electric cars but has also started to work on establishing its own charging network, will establish 600 charging stations in 81 provinces of Turkey with the Trugo brand and provide high-speed charging service.

Minister Varank stated that TOGG will be on the market with a minimum 51 percent localization rate and stated that &#8220;it will reach a minimum 65 percent locality in 2025&#8221;. Turkey’s Domestic Car TOGG’s Factory will be Open on October 29

The idea of owning an electric car has become more and more popular with the increasing fuel prices. Electric vehicles, which provide the opportunity to travel at a much lower cost than an ordinary gasoline/diesel vehicle thanks to the possibility of charging at home, have now been accepted as an important alternative in many countries. In this article, we gathered around 10 reasons why you should get an electric car.
Electric cars are way more efficient than ICE vehicles, and ultimately cost less to drive. The maintenance is relatively cheaper than most gasoline/diesel cars on the market, according to <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimgorzelany/2022/10/06/by-the-numbers-what-it-costs-to-maintain-an-electric-vehicle/#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20federal%20Office,a%20conventional%20ICE%2Dpowered%20ride.">official US data</a>. Regenerative braking, which is first used in hybrid vehicles, and later in electric vehicles, means that the electric motor is used for braking by operating in reverse. According to the same research, this rate is 1.5% in gasoline/diesel vehicles while the risk of fire is much higher at 3.4% in hybrid vehicles.
Another factor that makes electric vehicles safe is the shift of the center of gravity towards the lower and middle parts of the vehicle by the dint of the battery pack placed on the floor and the absence of a heavy engine at the front. In this way, the driving safety is increased and the electric vehicle provides better road handling.
<h3 style="font-size: 2em;">8. Longer Lasting</h3>
The number of moving parts in an electric vehicle is quite low as mentioned in the third advantage. Moreover, electric cars operate at much lower temperatures unlike gasoline/diesel vehicles, whose operating temperature reaches up to 220 Celcius degrees. Thus, mechanical wear is minimized.
Electric vehicles, which do not have any parts other than the gearbox that need to be lubricated, have very few parts that wear out over time and affect the lifetime of the vehicle. It seems certain that we will witness similar developments more often as the expectations of potential automobile customers increase.

Passenger vehicles, which cause 8.7% of global carbon dioxide emissions*, are among the sectors that need electrification transformation the most. the environmental impact of automobiles will be significantly reduced via the transition to zero-emission electric vehicles.
The positive impact of electric vehicles on the environment is not limited to emissions. This type of automobile, which does not have a waste oil problem because it does not need an oil change, will reduce water pollution, and also reduce city noise and air pollution.
