MG Cyberster was first unveiled as a one-off concept in 2021. After receiving positive feedbacks from eager fans and customers, Chinese-owned MG decided to develop a production version of the Cyberster. The all-electric roadster will be launched in 2024 starting with Chinese market. United Kingdom will follow in Q2 2024 with a starting price of £55,000 for the Cyberster RWD. Dual motor Cyberster AWD will cost £65,000 or around $85,000.

The Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD has opened orders for the Seal U model. For the 2024 model year, there is a significant reduction in prices, almost $3,000.
Having surpassed the 800,000 sales mark in three years, the Seal U will initially come to our country only with the plug-in hybrid version. This motor option stands out with a starting price of $18,000.

⚡ Chinese ZEEKR极氪 announced a major update to its first car, the 001, by replacing over 2,000 components.
🔋 The 2024 Zeekr 001, available with 95 and 100 kWh battery options, now features an 800V architecture. This not only boosts charging speeds up to 350 kW but also significantly enhances the vehicle’s efficiency.
🟢 Transitioning to the new-generation thermal management system called PTM 2.0 along with the battery, the 4.9-meter electric crossover can operate efficiently in both high and low temperatures.
💨 The new 001 offers a single-motor option producing 310 kW (422 HP) and a dual-motor option capable of generating 560 kW (762 HP). Hence, it’s expected to have a starting price around $40,000.
🚗 Equipped with LiDAR sensor-based autonomous driving mode, a new infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, and numerous interior design changes, the exact price of the 001 will be revealed upon its release on February 27th.

⚡#BYD has revamped its popular electric sedan Han, which sold 220,000 units last year. The 2024 version of the car has been launched in China with a starting price of $25,000.
🟢The 5-meter sedan features a base model with a 150 kW motor, a 60.48 kWh LFP battery, and 110 kW DC charging support. All models come equipped with the new Level 2+ intelligent driving system, DiPilot 100, which has been in development for over 1,000 days. Additionally, the new generation intelligent suspension system, DiSus-C, has been integrated into the 2024 model to enhance Han&#8217;s comfort.

🔋The 2024 BYD Han boasts a range of 506 km (CLTC), which extends up to 715 kilometers in the version with an 85.44 kWh battery. During today&#8217;s event, it was emphasized for the first time that the car features a silicon carbide chip inverter and an 800V architecture. However, the charging speed of the largest battery being limited to 155 kW indicates that the entire high-voltage system is not yet ready for 800V.
🚗In the performance version of the car, a dual-motor powertrain capable of producing 517 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque is used, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds.

#Audi has introduced its first car developed on the all-electric PPE platform, the Q6 e-tron.
The Q6 e-tron, which is priced 10% cheaper than its sibling model, the Porsche Macan EV, developed on the same platform, stands out with both more compact and lightweight electric motors and a large prismatic cell-based massive battery.

Audi, using NCM811 cathode cells produced by Chinese company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) in Germany, states that the larger cell form facilitates battery production. Additionally, it emphasizes that the newly developed smart thermal management system enhances battery life by continuously conditioning the battery and reduces charging time.
Regarding the engine, the company claims a 50% increase in efficiency compared to the first-generation electric Audis and states that it can produce more power with smaller motors by increasing power density by 62%. It should be noted that the Q6 e-tron uses an asynchronous ASM motor at the front and a permanent magnet synchronous PSM motor at the rear, differentiating it from the electric #Macan.

Audi Q6 E-Tron | 255 KM Range with a 10-Minute Charge!

With the brand-new Cyberster, which honors vintage British roadsters, MG is going back to its roots. Prior to its premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show next week, the electric car has been largely unveiled courtesy of images from China&#8217;s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants of the Cyberster will be offered, with the twin motor type offering up to 536 horsepower (400 kW) of electric power.
Leaked design patent drawings first revealed the production version of the 2021 MG Cyberster concept in June 2022. The concept was then seen in its natural state in February 2023. The outside of the automobile is definitely appealing, and the new photographs offer us the finest look at it so far. Given that roadsters are uncommon in today&#8217;s age of SUVs, the public is likely to react positively to the MG Cyberster.

In terms of length, width, and height, the MG is somewhat larger than a 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata, which measures 154.1 inches, 68.3 inches, and 48.8 inches. It had a 90.9-inch wheelbase.
The curb weight of the Cyberster is 4,376 pounds according to the Chinese source. (1,985 kilograms).
Roadsters like the T-series, MGA, MGB, and even the F from the 1990s are well known under the MG name. The Cyberster doesn&#8217;t clearly show any stylistic cues from the previous versions except for the two-seat arrangement and the opening roof. Sharp creases are used in the style and flow over the hood&#8217;s arched shape and through the doors.
The taillights are arrow-shaped towards the back. The lowest part features a noticeable diffuser.
A few of the alternatives that MG plans to provide are also depicted in the illustrations. There are soft toppers in black and red. Customers could choose from a variety of wheel styles and symbol designs.
