<p>MG 4 Electric, also known as Mulan in China, is a pure electric hatchback first unveiled in June 2022. It is being built on a next-gen vehicle platform, allowing MG to use bigger batteries while keeping the weight low. Thanks its lightweight body, MG Mulan can be able to run from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 sec.<br />
According to SAIC-owned MG, its latest EV will feature industry&#8217;s thinnest battery pack, with a height of only 110 millimeters (4.3-inches). This special battery uses vertically placed lithium-ion cells, to increase battery-level energy density further.</p>
<h2><strong>MG4 EV Launch Date</strong></h2>
<p>SAIC will start building MG4 EV / Mulan in the second half of 2022. Electric hatchback will first be delivered to Chinese customers. MG 4 Electric&#8217;s European launch is due in Q4 2022. There will be two options with two different battery packs, 51-kWh and 64-kWh respectively.</p>

<p>BYD Seal is the Chinese EV giant&#8217;s latest super sedan, which is being built on the BYD e-platform 3.0. It has a new battery pack design called CTB (Cell-to-Body) that enables BYD to implement its Blade battery cells directly into the vehicle&#8217;s chassis. The new battery-chassis design approach will allow BYD to build more efficient, less heavy electric vehicles.<br />

<p>EX30 is not only the smallest but also the cheapest Volvo EV to date. It&#8217;s based on the modular SEA platform, like EX30&#8217;s Geely-equivalent sibling called <a href="https://www.licarco.com/zeekr-x">Zeekr X</a>. While it&#8217;s tiny on the outside, EX30&#8217;s interior will make you feel like it&#8217;s spacious. Similar to Tesla&#8217;s Model Y, Volvo only uses a 12.3-inch infotainment display powered by Google&#8217;s Android Automotive OS.<br />
The only downside is that EX30 is going to be produced only in China. That means you won&#8217;t be getting any federal tax return if you purchase a Volvo EX30. Swedish brand will open books later this year. First deliveries will be held early 2024.<br />

<p>BYD gave its popular electric SUV Song Plus EV a proper facelift in 2023. The all-new Song Plus EV features aggressive design lines both on the front and the back of the vehicle. On the inside, the &#8216;Song&#8217; logo is no longer with us. Instead, BYD puts its own brand emblem onto the steering wheel.<br />
The new Song Plus EV is based on BYD&#8217;s e-platform 3.0 featuring a cell-to-body battery pack and 8-in-1 electric drive unit. Thanks to these two features, BYD&#8217;s electric SUV is now more efficient than ever.</p>

<p>Lucid Air is a premium electric sedan that coming to market in spring 2021. It is currently in the pre-production phase at Lucid’s Arizona facility in United States.</p>
<p>Luxurious EV start-up will offer a bunch of different variants of its first vehicle: Air Dream Edition, Air Grand Touring, Air Touring, and the base model Air Pure. Dream Edition will be the first one to be delivered to customers in 2021. Cheapest version Air Pure is not going to be available before later in the 2022.</p>
<p>Lucid Air offers up to 1,080 horsepower with its dual-motor AWD drivetrain. It will be equipped with a 113-kWh huge battery pack. Lucid claims that luxurious sedan can travel up to 832 kilometers on a single charge. Acceleration performance of 0-100 km/h speed is 2.7 seconds. Ultra-fast sedan can also be charged rapidly fast, thanks to one of its kind 900V electrical architecture. It offers more than 300 kW charging rates when plugged into the right DC charger.</p>
<p>Cheapest version Air Pure will be priced around $77,000, but it’s not coming anytime soon. Lucid Air Dream Edition is coming this year and it will cost $169,000 without extras. It will be one of the most expensive electric cars in the market.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>Most powerful version of the premium sedan, Lucid Air Dream Edition can be able to produce 1,080 HP. It can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.7 seconds and top speed is at 322 km per hour.</p>
<p>Other than its smooth and at the same time exciting driving experience, Lucid Air has a LiDAR system that helps with the driving-assist features. Electric sedan has enough hardware to ensure its occupants’ safety while enjoying the thousand horsepower drivetrain’s instant torque feeling.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Lucid Air has a very sleek design that achieves a drag coefficient of 0.21, it is the third most aero-efficient vehicle in the world. Tesla Model S Plaid has a 0.208 drag coefficient, lowest of any car ever made. Mercedes EQS is also very good; it produces a drag coefficient of 0.20. That little difference translates into miles of range in the EV-world.</p>
<p>The Air comes with a 34-inch giant display which offers 5K resolution. Display quality-wise, it is way better than any other luxurious car around such as Mercedes EQS’s Hyperscreen and the Tesla Model S.</p>
<p>The humongous display is also slightly curved, surrounding driver with a digital mobility ecosystem. Fancy display aside, dashboard has a very characteristic design. There are loads of quality materials around the cockpit like premium wooden parts, soft fabrics, Alcantara door trims, leather seat covers etc. Lucid used an open port design for the air vents and that also helps design to be smoother.</p>
<p>There is a tablet display below the dashboard that can nest inside the central console when it’s not needed, very similar to Audi’s folding display design on its previous generation vehicles. There is also a 21-speaker Surreal Sound system. With this advanced audio hardware, Lucid will be the first car to offer Dolby Atmos technology to its occupants.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Lucid Air Dream Edition and Air Grand Touring equipped with a 113-kWh battery pack, range estimates are 810 km and 832 km respectively. Both of these Air models offer 300 kW DC charging, it takes 20 minutes to charge that big battery from 10 percent to 80 percent.</p>
<p>Base model Air Pure and the Air Touring will have a smaller 75-kWh battery when they arrive to the market in 2022. Those two variants’ range estimates are also not bad, around 650 kilometers.</p>

<p>BYD Atto 3 has become BYD&#8217;s first globally available electric vehicle. It is officially go on sale in Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, New Zeland, Cambodia, Thailand. European countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, are also expected to get their taste of BYD&#8217;s compact EV later in the 2022.<br />
Atto 3 is basically the rebadged version of the <a href="https://www.licarco.com/2022-byd-yuan-plus">2022 BYD Yuan Plus</a> launched in China last year. It has two battery options called standard and extended range, offering an energy capacity of 49.92 kWh and 60.49-kWh, respectively. BYD Atto 3&#8217;s <a href="https://www.licarco.com/news/ev-range-tests-explained-comparison-between-epa-ratings-wltp-nedc-and-cltc/">WLTP</a> range estimate is around 420 kilometers. It supports 150 kW DC charging speeds in mainland China, but some Australian websites stated that Atto 3 is only capable of charging at 70/80 kW. It will be confirmed when the vehicles launched in Europe.</p>
<h2><strong>BYD Atto 3 European Pricing</strong></h2>
<p>BYD Atto 3 European starting price is €38,000. The first vehicles will be delivered in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Nertherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. More countries will follow in the coming months.<br />
BYD is selling Atto 3/Yuan Plus with a starting price of $20,120 in China. Extended range version only costs $21,580, or 147,800 CNY. In Australia, customers pay around $32,900 for the extended range Atto 3.<br />

<p>Audi Q4 e-tron is a mid-range electric SUV. It is the cheaper, smaller and city friendly version of the original e-tron and e-tron S. The platform it uses, VW Group’s bespoke MEB architecture is purely electric vehicles intended, unlike e-tron’s underpinnings. Thanks to the dedicated EV platform, Q4 e-tron’s performance and weight are very much improved.</p>
<p>Audi offers three versions of this vehicle: Q4 35 e-tron, Q4 40 e-tron, and Q4 50 e-tron quattro. It has up to 299 horsepower, 460 Nm of torque, and electronically limited 180 km/h top speed. 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. 125 kW DC charging also supported by the Q4 40 and Q4 50 e-tron models. These versions can reach %80 of charge in 38 minutes. There are also two battery options: 55 kWh and 82 kWh. Q4 e-tron offers up to 534 km of range on a single charge.</p>
<p>Pricing of the Audi Q4 e-tron starts at €41,900 for the normal SUV and €43,900 for the Q4 Sportback e-tron. All-wheel drive Q4 50 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron will cost more than €50,000. It will be available to US customers later in the 2021. US pricing starts at $36,400 after incentives. European customers are able to order the Q4 e-tron since June 2021.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>Audi Q4 50 e-tron quattro and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron quattro come with dual motor AWD drivetrain producing 299 HP and 460 Nm torque. Top speed for these all-wheel drive SUVs is 180 km/h. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h of speed in 6.2 seconds.</p>
<p>Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron offer 204 HP, 310 Nm torque, 160 km/h top speed, and 82-kWh battery. 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.</p>
<p>Base versions Q4 35 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 35 e-tron packed with the least powerful motor, 170 HP and 310 Nm torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h of speed in 9.0 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Audi Q4 e-tron uses a new hexagonal shaped steering wheel. And it also comes with a very unique front grille which has a silver textured design. Front end of the vehicle fully closed, in order to improve its energy efficiency. Audi logo on the front hides ADAS sensors behind its glossy finish.</p>
<p>Q4 e-tron models has a standard SUV style design and a higher roof line, whereas Q4 Sportback e-tron carries a coupe-like body profile, as being the sportier version of the vehicle. It has a full-length lightbar, roof spoiler and a nicely designed bumper on the back.</p>
<p>‘Normal back’ variant of the Q4 e-tron is slightly more practical than the better looking Q4 Sportback e-tron. There is more head room for the back seat passengers, and luggage capacity is higher in the SUV-style Q4 e-tron.</p>
<p>Q4 e-tron comes with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster display as standard. You can use touch capacitive buttons on the steering wheel to control this screen. Electric SUV also has a 10.1-inch infotainment display which has a resolution of 1,540 x 720 pixels. Audi says Q4 e-tron can be equipped with a bigger 11.6-inch 1,764 x 824 pixels display later this year. Functionality-wise, there is not much difference between these two.</p>
<p>There are two USB-C ports and a 12V power outlet in the back row, there is also climate control buttons for the back seat occupants.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, Audi does not include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and park assistant with camera support as standard. You have to pay extra for those features.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Audi Q4 35 e-tron and Q4 Sportback 35 e-tron comes with a 55-kWh battery, capable of traveling 341 km and 349 km, respectively. Base version of the Q4 e-tron offers 100 kW DC and 7.2 kW AC charging.</p>
<p>Q4 40 e-tron and Q4 50 e-tron quattro make use of the 82-kWh battery pack. Range estimates according to WLTP test cycle: 521 km for the Q4 40 e-tron, 534 km for the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron, 488 km for the Q4 50 e-tron quattro, and 497 km for the Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron quattro. These models can also be charged with 125 kW DC charging, %5-80 in 38 minutes. Built-in AC charger can go as high as 11 kW.</p>
