<p>Jaguar I-Pace is a premium electric SUV launched in 2018. It is the first all-electric car 86 years old Jaguar built. British carmaker beats the BMW and Mercedes in bringing a luxury electric vehicle to the market. It’s not a high-volume production car though, but I-Pace is clearly the luxurious car market’s Model 3 equivalent. It opened up a broad market for different kinds of high range electric cars such as Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQC, and the BMW iX.</p>
<p>2021 I-Pace comes with dual motor all-wheel drive system, it produces 400 horsepower and 696 Nm of torque. Top speed is electronically limited to 200 km per hour. It has got its energy from the 90-kWh battery pack, enough for a range of 470 km when fully charged.</p>
<p>I-Pace is being built jointly with Magna in Austria. Pricing of the Jaguar I-Pace starts at £65,000 in the UK. US pricing is around $70,000.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>I-Pace comes with a dual motor drivetrain system. AWD vehicle can produce 400 HP and 696 Nm torque. Its acceleration from zero to 100 km/h only takes 4.8 seconds. As a luxurious vehicle I-Pace offers a comfortable and also speedy drive. Top speed is 200 km/h, powerful electric SUV can reach those speeds in no time.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Latest version of the Jaguar I-Pace has an improved front grille design with chrome details. It looks very similar to the gas-powered F-Pace. The only difference is that I-Pace has a completely closed grille which enables car to be more aerodynamically efficient. There are still vents on the bumper down below for cooling the battery system etc.</p>
<p>Jaguar updated the infotainment system with a 10-inch touch display and the latest version of the JLR operation system. Infotainment experience can get a little laggy sometimes and finding what you are looking for easily takes some getting used to, but it supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via wireless connection as standard. There is also a 5-inch climate control display alongside the physical dials and buttons adding a lot of practicality. Base model I-Pace S doesn’t include this climate control touch display though.</p>
<p>Both front seats come with heating as standard. Wireless charging pad is available for all trims as well. 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard.</p>
<p>Interior quality is very good, soft materials and plastic parts definitely look classy. But Audi e-tron and e-tron S does feel more luxurious than the I-Pace. Audi did a better job with the interior design.</p>
<p>Back seats offer quite a lot of space for the rear occupants. However, there is nothing special in the back row of the I-Pace, no climate control, only couple of USB ports and optional heated seats. Despite being very spacious I-Pace is only available as a 5-seater. Tesla Model X is still the only electric SUV in this segment to offer seven-seat option.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Jaguar has been using the same 90 kWh battery pack in the I-Pace ever since its launch. Drivers can get 470 kilometers of range from it on a single charge. Charging is the downside of this D-segment electric car. I-Pace only supports 100 kW DC charging, %10-80 will take 45 minutes, while its competitors such as BMW iX3 can reach the same charge level in around 30 minutes thanks to its 150 kW DC support.</p>

<p>BYD Dolphin is an all-electric hatchback, which is also a part of BYD&#8217;s Ocean Series EVs. It is based on the brand&#8217;s latest vehicle architecture called BYD e-platform 3.0.<br />
Dolphin looks small but it is roomy on the inside. 5 adults can easily fit into the vehicle. Its interior design is also much better than the exterior. Seats are comfortable, 180-degree rotatable infotainment display looks decent, and easy to use.<br />

<p><a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.licarco.com/cars?filter=honda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Honda</a> lacks behind its competitors when it comes to the electrification of its vehicles. The only pure electric model Japanese firm offers as of today is the supermini <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.licarco.com/honda-e" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Honda e</strong></a>. This is very problematic for the Japanese automaker, because of the carbon emission regulations that keep getting severe in Europe and China. But they have a quick solution to this: <strong>Honda e:NS1</strong>, the electrified version of the latest Honda H-RV.<br />
Honda e:NS1 is a conversion project managed by Dongfeng Honda, Japanese firm&#8217;s joint-venture in China. Instead of developing an EV-dedicated vehicle platform and building an efficient electric car, Honda simply swapped the petrol engine for a smaller, lighter electric motor, and attached a battery pack (supplied by CATL) underneath the existing chassis of the 2022 Honda H-RV. This is probably the most sloppy electric conversion job we have ever encountered. But it works like a charm for the Japanese carmaker.</p>
<h3><strong>Honda e:NS1&#8217;s Unique Features</strong></h3>

e:NS1 is based on Honda&#8217;s e:N OS operating system that powers the large 15.1-inch vertically-oriented infotainment display inside the car. Rear-view mirror and gauge cluster are also LCD displays, to enable a much smoother riding experience. Compact EV offers some app control features as well, such as mobile key app, virtual key share, Find My Car, etc.<br />
There is a face-recognition system inside the cockpit of the Honda e:NS1, increasing the overall security of the vehicle.<br />
Honda&#8217;s first electric SUV is capable of offering V2L, which is very practical when it comes to powering house appliances and mobile devices. V2L feature is optional though. There is also a pre-conditioning feature for the battery that speed-up the charging process beforehand.<br />

<p>JAC iEV7s is an all-electric compact SUV manufactured by Chinese automaker JAC Motors. iEV7s uses a 40 kWh Samsung battery pack and gives its driver a range of 320 kilometers. It’s been available for European customers for almost two years. JAC Motors uses the XEV branding for the vehicle in some countries, but JAC iEV7s and XEV iEV7s are the same vehicle. Similiarly priced <a href="https://www.licarco.com/2021-hyundai-kona-electric-100-kw/">Hyundai Kona Electric 100 kW</a> is the main competitor of the iEV7s.</p>
<h2><strong>XEV iEV7s Performance</strong></h2>
<p>iEV7s has a 110 HP electric motor in the front, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Apart from its dull speeding performance, 130 km/h top speed is decent for a smooth highway experience.</p>
<p>According to generous NEDC standard, battery electric SUV will consume 11.5 kWh per 100 kilometers while driving in the city. Energy consumption of JAC iEV7s increases to 19 kWh in highway driving, combined consumption is 15 kWh/100 km.</p>
<h2><strong>Design</strong></h2>
<p>Similiar to its predecessor iEV6E, the JAC iEV7s has blue accents all over its exterior design, from bumpers to charging port and even on the inside. It hasn’t been facelifted ever since its launch in 2017, but the design and practicality of the interior good enough to convince a budget electric SUV buyer.</p>
<p>The iEV7s supports DC charging up to 37 kilowatts, driver can charge up the vehicle from 20 to 80% in an hour. When plugged into an AC socket, it will take 7 hours to fully charge the 40 kWh battery pack.</p>
<h3><strong>Is JAC iEV7s Available in Europe?</strong></h3>
<p>JAC Motors has made iEV7s available for European countries in 2019. Customers from Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Romania can buy the JAC iEV7s right away. XEV, sub-brand of the Chinese JAC Motors will make iEV7s available for Turkish customers later in the 2021.</p>
