<p>Hyundai Ioniq Electric is a mid-range electric sedan first introduced in 2016 to the US, South Korea, and some other markets. In the 2020, it has got an upgraded battery pack, the old Ioniq Electric had a 28 kWh battery, the new version comes with a 38.3 kWh battery. It also got a more efficient and more powerful electric motor that produces 134 HP and 295 Nm torque.</p>
<p>Korean electric sedan can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, nothing special about its performance. It is currently being built in South Korea, and Malaysia. United States is the biggest market Ioniq Electric made available. Pricing starts at $33,245 for the base model Ioniq Electric SE. High trim version which is called Ioniq Electric Limited comes with wireless charging pad for smartphones, blind-spot collision warning, and LED headlights priced at $38,815.</p>
<p>In Europe, Ioniq Electric costs a little bit more around €35,000. Hyundai’s not too cheap electric sedan will probably discontinued in the near future, as the next generation Ioniq sub-brand vehicles coming to the market like Hyundai Ioniq 5.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>Ioniq Electric can produce 134 horsepower and 295 Nm torque with its single electric motor in the front. Acceleration performance from 0 to 100 km/h is 9.7 seconds and top speed limited to 165 kilometers per hour.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Newest Ioniq Electric model has a different front grille design compared to former Ioniqs. Unlike the smooth surface in the old car, new Ioniq Electric comes with a textured nose and two air vents that can automatically be opened and closed. When the battery heats up, these two air vents will open up to allow some extra air inside for cooling.</p>
<p>Hyundai uses a 10.25-inch infotainment display, as expected responds are a little bit laggy but it supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for better user experience. You can also connect two smartphones thanks to the Twin Bluetooth feature.</p>
<p>Ioniq Electric’s highest trim will get heated and also cooled seats. Space on the back seats is not great though, as Ioniq Electric is not a car that purely designed battery powered drivetrain on mind.</p>
<p>Ioniq Electric equipped with radar cruise control will be able to increase and decrease regenerative braking depending on the traffic, this feature will add a couple of miles to the range and improve the overall efficiency.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Mid-range sedan comes with a 38.3 kWh battery capacity, enough for a range of 273 kilometers according to the EPA. WLTP range estimate is around 311 km. It supports 100 kW DC rapid charging, 10 percent to 80 percent of charge in 54 minutes. Fully charging the vehicle with a 7.4 kW AC plug takes 6 hours.</p>

<p>Ford revamped its popular all-electric SUV Mustang Mach-E with a 72-kWh battery from CATL. Chinese battery maker provides Ford with prismatic LFP cells. It&#8217;s good for the price and safety of the vehicle.<br />
2023 Mustang Mach-E now supports 150-kW DC charging, compared to 115 kW previously. Mach-E Standard Range can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 33 minutes, 13 percent faster than the old Mach-E.</p>

<p>Kia e-Niro is an affordable electric SUV which has been on the market since 2019. It has two battery variants: e-Niro 39 kWh and e-Niro 64 kWh. Big battery option also comes with a more powerful engine producing 204 HP. Niro EV with the small battery pack only produces 136 horsepower.</p>
<p>The 2022 Niro EV -as Kia America calls it- is only available with the 64-kWh battery, starts at $39,999. Newest and cheapest e-Niro in the Europe has a price around €35,000. It is rebadged with the new Kia logo, but exterior-wise nothing has changed in the new year model.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>e-Niro has a single electric motor located in the front. 39 kWh version can produce 136 HP, while bigger battery model has 204 HP. It is enough for getting from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds with the e-Niro 39 kWh and 7.8 seconds with the 64-kWh version. Torque figures are the same at 295 Nm.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Kia e-Niro has been using the same exterior design since its launch in 2019. It has a textured and also fully closed front grille, charging port is also located in this area.</p>
<p>Kia used hard plastic materials when designing the lower parts of the interior. It feels cheap and doesn’t look sturdy. It can be acceptable for a price tag equivalent to ordinary gas-powered Niro’s, but battery powered e-Niro is not cheap and spending all those money to find cheap materials on the inside will definitely disappoint some drivers.</p>
<p>Base model e-Niro 2 has an 8-inch infotainment display, while upper trims e-Niro 3 and e-Niro 4+ comes with a 10.25-inch touch display. These two trims also include wireless charging pad for smartphones. 7” digital gauge cluster and Android Auto &amp; Apple CarPlay support are standard for all trims.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Both e-Niro 39 kWh and e-Niro 64 kWh support 100 kW DC charging and they can be charged from 0 percent to 80 percent in 54 minutes. The new Kia e-Niro 4+ is the first model to include an 11-kW AC on-board charger, it takes only 7 hours to fully charge the car. Other variants only have a 7.2 kW charger which is enough to get from 0 to 100 percent charge in 9 hours.</p>
<p>e-Niro can travel 289 kilometers with a fully charged 39 kWh battery. Range estimates increase to around 455 km when you choose the 64-kWh battery option. e-Niro is not the fastest or the most comfortable car, but it does offer quite a good range for the price.</p>

<p>All the window trims and door handles are black now instead of chrome on the earlier models. Only the front and back Tesla logos still have the chrome finish. It has wider tires covered with even wider fenders. The fog lights matched with the Model 3 and Model Y. Front bumper lips and back bumper diffuser changed as well. <p>BYD Seagull is the cheapest EV Chinese automaker offers under its Ocean Series, which includes BYD Seal, Atto 3, and BYD Dolphin. It officially launched in April 2023. The standard range version of the compact EV with 30-kWh battery and 305 km of range costs 73,800 CNY ($10,700). BYD Seagull&#8217;s 405-km range version is priced higher at $13,000, or 89,800 CNY in China.<br />
