<p>Geely&#8217;s EV-only brand Zeekr revamped its electric hatchback: 2023 Zeekr 001. This time, the large EV comes with CATL&#8217;s latest battery pack called &#8216;Qilin Battery&#8217;. It is designed as a cell-to-pack (CTP) solution, which increases the pack-level energy density to more than 200 Wh/kg. Thanks to a more energy-dense, lightweight design, this pack can store a heft 140-kWh of energy into an all-electric hatchback.<br />
2023 Zeekr 001 will not only feature this huge battery. There are two other options with less energy capacity as well. Zeekr 001 WE version costs around €41,000/300,000 CNY and offers an 86-kWh battery and a CLTC range of 546 kilometers. There also three different 100-kWh battery versions, one with the single motor and a 100-kWh battery, the other two are equipped with dual-motor 544-HP powertrain with the same 100-kWh pack. All version offer a top speed of 200 km/h. Dual-motor 2023 Zeekr 001 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h(62 mph) in 3.8 seconds, which is better than most of the sport cars on the market right now.<br />

<p>Mercedes EQC is a D-segment electric SUV launched in 2019. Rather than creating an all-new platform and building an electric car from the scratch, Mercedes took existing petrol engine GLC as a base, swapped the ICE engine with two electric motors and attached them to an 80-kWh battery.</p>
<p>It has an all-wheel-drive powertrain that can produce 408 HP and 760 Nm torque. According to WLTP test cycle, EQC can provide up to 462 kilometers of range. The 80-kWh battery supports 110 kW DC charging. It takes 40 minutes to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent. Charging was very fast when the EQC first launched on the market, but it is not as fast as Hyundai Ioniq 5, or Audi Q4 e-tron.</p>
<p>Mercedes EQC is being produced both in Germany and China. It is available in most of the Europe, Turkey, and China. Base model EQC 400 4MATIC priced at around €66,000 and sporty trim EQC AMG Line costs €7,000 more.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>Mercedes EQC is 700 kilograms heavier than the GLC, but extra weight doesn’t negatively affect its performance. It can produce 408 horsepower and 760 Nm torque. It takes only 5.1 seconds to get from 0-100 km/h (62 mph).</p>
<p>EQC handles like a Mercedes, but it weighs 2.5 tons and center of gravity isn’t that low compared to BMW iX or other electric SUVs. As a result, the car’s rolling around when taking the corners, a little bit of understeering as well.</p>
<p>Top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h not only for safety reasons, but also keeping the energy consumption at a certain level.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Even though it’s based on the GLC, Mercedes EQC has a new front grille, slimmer headlights, lightbar style taillights, and a new dashboard design. Front of the vehicle clearly redesigned to show that Mercedes didn’t just swap the engine and put a big battery pack into an existing car. In fact, the new front design is going to be the distinctive face of the Mercedes’s electric vehicles. Both Mercedes EQS and the compact SUV Mercedes EQA have a very similar nose job.</p>
<p>EQC comes with a 12.5-inch infotainment touch display. It has the latest sat-nav system that supports AR navigation. It basically shows you where you should go with virtual arrows on top of the actual footage of the road. If you’re not sure which way to go, just look at the infotainment screen and it will point you where you should turn.</p>
<p>Front and back seats are adequate. Back doors can be opened quite widely, getting in and out is very convenient. Sunroof isn’t as long as the Tesla Model X’s glass roof though.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Mercedes offers only one battery pack option for the EQC. It has a useable capacity of 80-kWh. When fully charged, EQC can travel up to 462 kilometers.</p>
<p>110 kW DC charging is supported, 10% to 80% of charge takes 40 minutes. There is also a new liquid cooled on-board 11 kW AC charger. EQC owners can fully charge their vehicles at home in seven and a half hours.</p>

<p>Xpeng P7, Chinese automaker&#8217;s popular alternative to Tesla Model 3, got a mid-cycle refresh. The all-new 2023 Xpeng P7i looks almost identical to the previous version, but it&#8217;s not short of new features.<br />
First of all, P7i comes with a brand-new 86.2-kWh battery pack supplied by CALB. Compared to CATL-made old 81-kWh pack, this one offers a unique safety feature that prevents Xpeng P7i to catch fire when the battery got damaged. It also enables Xpeng to offer higher DC charging rates at 170 kW, compared to 90 kW.<span style="visibility:hidden;">.</span> </p>

<p>Fiat 500e, or the Fiat 500 Electric is an affordable electric hatchback. It comes with two battery options: 24 kWh and 42 kWh. There also three body variants available: standard Fiat 500e with three-doors, Fiat 500e 3+1, and Fiat 500e Cabrio with soft-top.</p>
<p>Standard 500e vehicles only come with three-doors. 500e 3+1 does include a half door on the left side which allows passengers to access rear seats more easily. And the third variant, Fiat 500e Cabrio offers a retractable soft top roof, ideal for hot summers.</p>
<p>Pricing of the small electric Fiat starts at €23,500 with 24 kWh version. Most expensive version of the Fiat 500e is the Cabrio which priced at around €30,000. Final pricing can be different in your country. Be sure to check out Fiat’s official website and your local dealerships for a quote.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>Fiat 500e 24 kWh has the least powerful motor which produce 111 horsepower and 199 Nm torque. It is enough for a top speed of 137 km/h and 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 9.5 seconds.</p>
<p>500e 42 kWh, 500e 3+1 and 500e Cabrio offer 118 HP, 220 Nm of torque, thanks to a little more powerful front-wheel electric motor. 0-100 km/h run in 9 seconds straight, top speed electronically limited to 150 km per hour.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Design and Features</u></strong></h2>
<p>Front end of the vehicle almost fully closed, in order to increase its aerodynamic efficiency. There are tons of 500 logos all over the exterior and interior. Chrome details are also very eye-catching.</p>
<p>Top part of the dashboard comes with different kinds of trims. Infotainment display sits on the dash like a little tablet computer. You can connect your phone via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. Standard display size is 7-inch, but upper trims will include a wider display with the same functionality. 24 kWh battery version, on the other hand, does not include any infotainment display. Instead, you get a smartphone holder that should make up for the lack of a central screen. 7-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard with all 500e models, though.</p>
<p>There are wireless charging pad and two USB-A ports inside the electric hatchback. Seats and steering wheel all are manually adjustable. There are lots of head and leg room, unlike other two-door hatchbacks.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>There are two batter options available for the Fiat 500 electric: 24 kWh and 42 kWh. Small battery option can only run 180 km on a single charge. Considering Fiat 500e is a city car, it will be enough for short commutes. If you need more that, 42 kWh options can be much more suitable. Large battery variants will get a 320 km range, according to WLTP test cycle.</p>
<p>Fiat 500e 24 kWh only supports 50 kW DC charging, when you choose a 42 kWh battery option rapid charging rate will increase to 85 kW. 24 kWh battery can be charged from 0 percent to 80 percent in 26 minutes, whereas 42 kWh battery can get to the same percentage in 35 minutes.</p>

<p>BMW iX3 is basically the electrified version of the German automaker’s classic midsize SUV X3. It has a rear-wheel electric drive unit that produces 286 HP and 400 Nm torque. 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.8 seconds. Range of the vehicle is 460 kilometers when battery is full. Top speed is electronically limited to 180 km per hour. But because of its electric motor delivering the maximum torque instantly, BMW iX3 has a way better acceleration performance than similarly sized SUVs on the same price range.<br />
BMW iX3’s production started in 2020, at the same BMW facility in Germany where ordinary X3 manufactured. BMW just swapped the combustion engine with an electric motor, put a battery pack on the floor and changed almost nothing from the X3. Exterior and interior design have not changed, only added some blue accent color (frozen grey in some color options) around the vehicle and bumpers to remind customers that this is a purely electric SUV.</p>

BMW iX3’s grip and traction on the road is phenomenal. Part of the reason for that is battery pack of the vehicle sits really low down, and it lowers the central gravity significantly lower than a standard SUV. As a result, iX3’s driving performance is very outstanding.</p>

<p>BMW’s classic kidney shaped front grille is almost fully closed in BMW iX3, the reason is that electric cars doesn’t need much air cooling compared to combustion engines. By closing front end of the vehicle, automakers can also make EVs be more aerodynamical and consume less energy.<br />
One of the most sophisticated feature of the BMW iX3 is the acceleration, start/stop engine and other futuristic UI sounds composed by the famous artist Hans Zimmer. These special sounds will definitely increase the EV driving experience.<br />

<p>Mercedes EQB is a 7-seater electric SUV made its debut in China. It is the electrified version of the GLB. Thanks to its 2.8 meters long wheelbase, EQB offers quite a lot of space on the interior.</p>
<p>The electric SUV currently has only two AWD options: EQB 300 4MATIC and EQC 350 4MATIC. Mercedes will also unveil front-wheel-drive versions of the vehicle for the European countries. Dual motor all wheel drive EQB offers up to 292 HP and 520 Nm torque. Top speed is limited to 160 kilometers per hour. It can be charged with 100 kW DC plugs, reaching 80 percent charge takes only 32 minutes.</p>
<p>Mercedes EQB will be produced in China for local market, and in Hungary for the global market. Customers from United States will also be able to purchase the new 7-seater Mercedes. EQB is coming to China in 2021, while European and American customers will have to wait until 2022 to buy this long electric vehicle.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Performance</u></strong></h2>
<p>EQB has two all-wheel drive options with different performance figures. EQB 300 4MATIC has 228 HP and 390 Nm torque, whereas the more powerful EQB 350 4MATIC can produce 292 horsepower and 560 Nm torque; it only takes 6.2 seconds for this model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The less powerful version EQB 300 needs 8.0 seconds to complete the same acceleration.</p>
<p>Both versions of the EQB are electronically limited to a 160 kilometers per hour top speed. Thanks to its battery heating pump and the advanced software, EQB will always be prepared for a quick run.</p>

<p>Similar to Mercedes EQC and more affordable Mercedes EQA, EQB is also based on an existing Merc which is the family SUV GLB. Main selling point of this new electric vehicle is the 7-seater option. <p>Distinctive boxy design of the GLB series also applied to the new EQB. It has a front grille that completely closed, in order to increase aerodynamic efficiency. There are tons of chrome details all around the exterior if you choose AMG Line trim. Both head and taillights are designed as full length lightbars, creating a very recognizable front and rear face.</p>
<p>There are two 7-inch displays on the inside, one acting as a digital information panel and the other as an infotainment screen. 10.25” screens are optional in the EQB. Steering wheel is also very useful with its physical and capacitive buttons, you can adjust most of the features with those controls while only looking at the road and checking the digital gauge cluster for more.</p>
<h2><strong><u>Range and Charging</u></strong></h2>
<p>Mercedes EQB comes with a battery pack that offers 66.5 kWh useable capacity. 100 kW DC charging is supported. Mercedes says EQB can maintain the maximum charging rate for a very long time thanks to its heating pump. Getting from 10 percent to 80 percent of charge will only takes 32 minutes. 11 kW AC charging allows a 5 hours 45 minutes full charge time.</p>
